Dave, many thanks for your videos. Been messing around with my Mk3 and getting ideas down, loads of fun, but now trying to learn to create songs and build on my ideas. One big question I have for you is: Why, even when I start with new project, and am in Group mode, just as you showed in the videos, and I load a kit in Pad mode, I do not get the pads populated, nor do I get patterns automagically like you showed. It does not matter if I use Drumlab or Battery or Maschine libraries. Any clue why that would be? Thanks!

You’re more than welcome Gene. I think it’s because it was taken off after one of the upgrades. Not sure why tbh but Boone’s does it anymore. Let me know how you get on writing some tunes 😊

@@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert thanks Dave - I wonder why they would remove such a cool function? OK, I'm off to watch your other stuff so I can get going on something! Cheers!

Hi Gene, yes you (me)! So, it was in err that I reported a missing function. To load a drum kit in Group mode, it is NOT "Group Mode" as in one of the buttons above, (Master, Group, Sound) but rather, when scrolling through the plugin options (Instrument, Sound, Sample, GROUP). I was loading drum kits as Instruments ... WRONG! When I load them from Browser as Group as opposed to Instrument, Sound, or Sample, it populates the pads and can be played in Pad mode. Here it is an example of confusing nomenclature ...

Hello Dave, I am a visually impaired producer. Totally blind. Are usually in K-3 basically in the dark, my problem is when I have an example Paterenn C St. swarm for example, how do I erase the Paterenn but keep the drums any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Hi and thanks for your question. Do you mean you get a pattern come up when you load a group? If so you can just press shift and CLEAR on the 16 pads. If not would you mind giving me some further info and i'll be happy to help. Thanks

Hi there, and thx you for your vidéos. I'm willing to have a mashine mk3 soon. My question is : what is the difference between a group and a patern ? (sorry if my question sounds like an evidence... I ear this two terms in many videos but I can't cleary understand the difference). Thanks for your help :)

Hi Rom, thanks for the question. A ‘group’ is a group of sounds grouped together. Once you load the group you will have access to playing them where you put them A, B, C etc. A pattern is a sequence of a sounds or sounds playing I.e. a hit hat, bass drum and snare playing over 4 beats is a pattern. Does this help?

DAVE Digital and Vinyl Expert thank you so much for your unswer. If I understand : you load a group (of sounds : hit hat, bass...), and with it you can create several paterns, is that right ?

exactly! Good work Rom. Hope you enjoy creating when you get one. Let me know what you write :)

Hey! Love your videos, just wondering how to install any beats from online to the mk3.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert6 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, glad you like them. When you say beats, do you mean a beat as an audio clip?
@michaeldiamondturner6 жыл бұрын
Sort of, Its like when you watch these producers make a beat on the spot for the video they normally get a sample pack from online and use that, but never show how they get in it onto the Machine itself.

Click on the user profile next to the maschine sound banks towards the top left (looks like a person shoulders and head). Then go to File and import Maschine 1.x format. Locate the folder with you sounds in and click choose (not double click on the folder). Then they will be in your user folder. Let me know how you get on.
