That is a very interesting point. I think most americans judge themselves and others not based on truth, but on what makes them feel empowered. Words and actions based on truth that change the world and peoples lives are rare occurrences.

The tribes lived peacefully around the mixed heritage and french canadians for some time. Then all of the changes. This was a train wreck. Yes, there were spoils of war as sadly happens in war...not ok. Little Crow didn't do that. He followed thru on a commitment to the needs of his people..even though he knew the outcome. How would this feel now had he not? How many are of mixed descent and don't know it? Would this change ppls views?
