Thanks for sharing the video - The Lakota way of raising a child is certainly keeping the spirit of preserving the band, whereas so much of child raising now is all about self-preservation and benefiting oneself. It's unfortunate to see that everyday, seeing everyone live for themselves.

I think you are probably right. One thing about reincarnation that troubles me is that if you don't retain your memories from past lives, how can you keep going on the path to enlightenment and not make the same mistakes from previous lives? By the way, I think I get the 2012 reference :-).

zacuan maybe reincarnation is a fail and a pass is making it to the heavens. You could then have your mind moulded by god to the best version of yourself in heaven. Best to shoot for it that way, so definitely do everything you can to find your native spirit, there's lots of amazing wisdom. A lot of the other religions have good environmetal discipline as well, even Jesus said "it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to get to heaven". Thing is a lot of religions don't like to push the hopi path, they push the consumption path
