I would so gladly leave my land back to the native americans we stole it from and I am so sorry, please know many of us would leave if we could. I don't know how to help but I want to

It's so hard to get up and leave a country at a young age but I think a lot of us want to. It's so sad to think of the beauty we destroyed.

I agree, you must pass along your knowledge. Many people think the native cultures are gone, but they're very much alive. In today's world of confusion, we need your guidance more than ever.

Very powerful! We all need to remember Red Clouds words, and pass them to our children. You did a great job on the video, keep 'em coming , many more people need to see and hear how our ancestors were treated. And still many of us are treated badly. While some of our ancestors had good reason to keep their nationality hidden! WE DO NOT! It is up to us to pass what we know along. Any thing less is dis-honoringour people. Peace and Many Blessings

Tastefully done. Red Cloud was a great leader and I feel sad that he worked so hard for his people, but in the end was cheated. We should be ashamed of what we have done to people all over the world in the name of 'progress'.

On July 23, 1980, in United States v. Sioux Nation of Indians, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the Black Hills were illegally taken and that remuneration of the initial offering price plus interest - nearly $106 million - be paid. The Lakota refused the settlement, as they wanted the return of the Black Hills instead. The money remains in an interest-bearing account which now amounts to over $757 million, and in spite of their poverty the Lakota still refuse to take the money.

I have no defense for the music I choose other than I'm trying to use the most interesting royalty free music I can find. As for the quotes, I think they are very revealing. I think we are very fortunate to know what they thought and said. If we remember their words, their culture won't disappear.

Losing ones culture is always wrong but to lose ones land and life doer anothers profit is a crime against humanity. The world screams at Israil being on occupied land. What do they think the United States, Canada and Mexico stands upon?

and allow our people to seek damages for all the centuries of mistreatment and downright murder. That would be as close to justice as anyone could come to but we all know that too many other people would have to move out of our sacred lands. Their rights will come before ours. It appears that since we have lived with this injustice for so long, it will be ours to bear forever.

You're absolutely right. I read that Sioux is a french word which translates roughly to mean "enemy", hardly a fitting term for such an advanced group of people. I realize they often refer to themselves using the word "Sioux", but its always good to know the truth and to be respectful.

I apologize for the use of that word. I honestly do not know why I chose the words "Indian" campaign instead of "Lakota" or "Sioux" campaign, but now I even avoid using the word Sioux. This is precisely the kind of feedback I need, and I'm glad my use of the offending word did not ruin the message for you.

@videocomicsonline17 жыл бұрын
The Lakota refuse the money because a) the 106 million dollar price tag is reflective of 19th century land values, and b) they value their freedom more than money. If they sell, they lose the land forever. This attempt at buying out the Lakota is just a dishonest way of the U.S. trying not to pay billions of dollars in reparations as well as denying the Lakota their national sovereignty, something guaranteed them by the constitution.

mLAnd wars between the Native Americans, Compared to the wholesale slaughter be the white? The difference is they did not put each other on reservations. They did not give out blankets laced with small pox. They did not want the land for the GOld that was on it. DOn't try to confuss the issue of what the white man did to the Native Americans by bringing up tribal wars. The scale reasons and scale does not compare.
@poorrich040717 жыл бұрын
Lets get this straight. You brought up the US Army. I am taking of 1763 Britsh army. 18th Centry to your 19th. Lets get the fact straight. Second while Native Americans fought each other. The scale of the crimes against the tribes by the Europeans and the Americans are not comprable.

This is my last post. Yes these are books. Books that like the one you used to prove your case. The difference is these books have references to thier works. I am not going to do your job and hunt all of it down. Second your case was the 19 centuery Us Army, My case was 1763 British army. I am not saying your wrong, becasue I have yet researched it. I will say I never knew of what your talking about with the US Armny. The documents are letters written by Amhurst.
@poorrich040717 жыл бұрын
I have never said there were never tribal wars. I now there were differences among the tribes. I can think of the way other tribes help push the Cherokee out. They are just as guilty as the white man. I know the meaning of some tribes mean enemy in another tribes langague, but none of that excuses what our forefathers did in the name of GOD and country.
@videocomicsonline17 жыл бұрын
Those men and women were very brave, but just as the Lakota spirit was strained at the massacre of Wounded Knee, the FBI murdered and harassed them until the movement subsided. One day a new generation of leaders will stand up against this country again, and when they do, they'll have brothers and sisters all over the continent ready to support them. The U.S. will not get away with that kind of criminal behavior again.
@poorrich040717 жыл бұрын
What that the Tribe fought each other for land? DUH that is known. But the mass scale oh lets point to the Cherokee is not a "normal: thing. Today there is hard feelings among the Hopi and the Dine. My argument is that the White man committed genocide. Not on one tribe, but a whole race. Also from now on go to my CHerokee video and we can maintain this there. The argument is not fare to the owner of this video. My apology to him.

Well The information that you provided may or may not be factual in regard to the US army. Tell you the truth I was not aware of that story. Mine sir is based upon fact. Historical documents . THe Britsh was responsiable for the incident that I talk about. It was in 1763. One sourse that you can readily find it is wikipedia, I really do not like using this becasue of the open source. Most professors will not allow the it use a a reference.
