A brief example of the things I wear when portraying my ancestors in the 18th century. Nicer clothes are worn when needed, but for the most part, a breechclout is the only necessary article of clothing. when travelling outside the town, moccasins are work, and shirts and other clothes can be worn as well.

It's so nice to see the internet being used for what it was meant to do, learning. This handsome fellow is a good teacher as well.

Thank you so so much Talon for your dedication, knowledge and love of your people which we Swedes know absolutely NOTHING about. Our perceptions are that all native people are the same and look and act like those in the movies. American native cultures have fascinated me but diverse information is very scarce in Scandinavia. Your videos are so inspirational. Me dream is to be able to visit a people and learn about them first hand but so far all bands and tribes have been quite suspicious and unwilling to open up. I was rather surprised by that. Please make more videos! Thank you 🙏

Great video! I have a question about the leggings; are they worn as a wholly practical item of clothing to protect the legs, or are they more decorative? It seems like an obvious question but I see illustrations of them being worn in combination with pants and trousers, but admittedly mainly by Europeans.

Curious how some native tribes consider femenine to cover the thighs. So we, pants user, are femenine to them. But for us, they look femenine with that dress like tunic and those leggins.

Lmao.. "real Americans"... You know Thomas, "history " occurred in America the same as it did on every other continent. People everywhere go to war, the get conquered things change, etc. Etc. Well you know, the same as YOUR ancestors came to Mexico and conquered and enslaved them.

It'll be going back in a few weeks, I just wanted to try something different. I had long hair from the time I was in elementary school to about 19, and then I cut it into a scalplock.

@@talonsilverhorn8041 Do you have any problems with Ash bows cracking on the belly? This technically shouldn't happen if the wood is seasoned and there is a good tiller, correct?

Hello Talon Silverhorn! Do you have plans on making a video of a step by step process of leggings? I am trying to find a pattern of Great Lakes/Eastern/Southeastern Woodland styles of leggings and have not had much luck. Curious as to your process of making leggings. Thanks for posting.
