It’s Aida competition, all safety measures are in place. Nurses, doctors, oxygen tanks, even ambulances.

My coach is the best. It was my call to hyperventilate because I wanted to delay contractions. In training I was close to six minutes using this strategy. Anyway next time.

@@NativeExplorer your choice and he let you do this???!!! Dude hyperventilation will only give you black outs and a step closer to death under normal circumstances. It's a shame that your coach didn't pass it on to you subconsciously.

My friend, I am a freediving instructor myself and I know all of this. For long static freedivers use light hyperventilation. I hyperventilated a little more and it was my choice and mine alone. Flo, my coach, who is one of the only one in the world to pass 10min static, advised against it. The early, VERY VERY light LMC came mainly because I wasn’t properly relaxed during the competition.
