Hi Native Team, quick question, is it possible to deactivate the chord module and just use Playbox as a library instead (still randomizing sounds and fx)? The chords feature looks awesome for inspiration but having the possibility to just feed it midi or play it like a regular library (without having to "store" the chords in the chord section and playing them with one finger) would be awesome especially for composers given the sonic capabilities of this instrument!

Native Instruments are always great for inspiring creativity but you should also consider: *Doing a collab with someone. *Trying a genre outside your comfort zone. *Try creating a track with limited samples and resources (you'll be surprised at what you can do). *Try writing a piece of music to a film scene (remove the original audio before hearing it) then compare results when youve finished it. These are just a few ideas but there are countless other ways. Good luck and hope you get your mojo back soon.

@@Reeceline Respect. Totally appreciate your thoughts here. It comes and goes, you know? Occasionally I sit down and might find a few chords, other times, it’s like pulling teeth. This instrument has been sat around in my toolbox for a long time, but I recently got really interested in Sound Design after using the Slate + Ash plugins. This video randomly appeared in my KZbin feed and I decided I must dust off this plugin and give it a go. I'm blown away by it. The ability to drop your own chords and samples into it, is a fantastic feature, although you can get lost for hours just cycling through random presets. This is going to be an essential tool for me going forward.

THIS IS A MUST BUY FOR composers and music producers because it truly opens your mind up to new possibilities using your normal creative process and putting it through Playbox. I am GETTING IT NOW! Awesome. Thank you.

Hi John, with today's technology in music, there really is no bullsh_t gimmick. It's all how you, the composer, writer, musician use them. Some will hate it, some will love it. i find that within my sound library acquired during 50 years of a music career, some things I hated 20 years ago, are perfect for a track I'm working on today. The best advice I can give anyone is do what you feel, do what you like, don't worry about others' opinions. There's an audience for all kinds of music. Write on good people!

My only criticism is that I wish there was an option to not use the chord feature so that I can play my own chords or notes without having to go through the extra step of programming it with the piano feature. Some of the sounds are great to where I would like to use them as lead sounds. In that regard it’s limiting. I've played around for a few hours now and I love it! Being able to use your own samples was way easier that I thought, so much fun to mix in your own samples. I've got two questions though. First, is there any way to lower/raise the sound of a specific sample in a specific chord? Second, I can't seem to find a way to randomize just one chord if you want to replace a specific chord. If that's not possible now I would love to see it in future updates. Great job! I would love to see this as a standalone plugin, but running it in Kontakt will do!

It looks great, it sounds great and the concept is great, but Kontakt 6 just does't cut it anymore. The low resolution interface is way out of date, some fonts are so pixely the could be coming straight out of Minecraft and not being able to double click a control to reset it make all Kontakt instruments kind of a pain to use, no matter the quality of the instrument itself. It's a problem with lots of Native Instruments products. They are unrivalled in sound and burst with innovation and creativity, but the technical side of things always lacks behind. They are one of the only big music software makers with no native Apple Silicon support, Reaktor looks shitty and is low resolution, VST3 took them ages and is still not fully supported. On my M1 machine, scrolling in Komplete Kontrol regularly doesn't work, samples are not loaded properly upon project recall, and sometimes the interface doesn't respond at all, though I think this is an issue with AU rosetta translation and Ableton. But still, this would not be a problem if the plugins would run natively!
