How does swift ignition sorc solo valtan?

@@sjroxiii4778 Same thing goes for Surge vs Remaining Energy deathblade builds. Surge is easy mode till relic sets + legendary wealth rune + high spec. (But do keep in mind that Surge is broken right now for the early t3 and it is way better than RE till kakul saydon - brelshaza)

@@Xalfe Nah RE was more popular back then because Surge rework was new. Now that people are learning surge mechs alot more KR users are picking up surge cuz of the insane damage potential and most likely its gonna be nerfed along with Sorc in the rework.

Wow I’m stoked about this! I play Igniter just because I find it more enjoyable than Reflux, but the lack of movement speed has been so frustrating that I’ve been running a Spec/Swift necklace, just for that little bit of extra Swiftness. Right now, it makes sense to do so in order to double Doomsday. I was really not looking forward to eventually doing full Spec/Crit, so this alternative build sounds like a great way to go! Solid video!

Excellent, not only a Sorc bus which I wanted to see but even the build I play :-D (High Swiftness casting Sorc with Ignite). It's super fun, you're not only relaying on your Ignite window and you can also postpone it and the whole gameplay is much more agile and feels smooth.

@@Dedli88 I wouldn't say it's set in stone. For example you may want to even add Raid Captain and in that case you want to go for enough Swiftness to reach the cap to get full benefit. But you can also chose to have more Spec for faster Identity generation -> you would need to test how many cycles you need. And it's also influenced by Wealth Runes, Tripod on Identity gain skills and such.

@@Patryk157 Kinda late answer, but here you go. Use the Spec/Swift as you need at least some Spec. For crit you need to get either Precision Dagger or Adrenaline. As a swift sorc you are actually capable of using Adrenaline without much issues ;)

Objectively, Spec+Swift nightmare 6 set is the highest ceiling. But this is a pretty solid build too running Swiftness+Spec 4 dom 2 nightmare. And it's nice to not be so slow in movement

That would be playing on hell mode on it's own, people have to understand that dps bard main damage comes from the relic set and not their skills, whoever right now in na who is building dps bard without that set is actually throwing.

Most likely to rebuild his gauge up asap, no point having that buff up if all your big damage skill are on cool down, better to rebuild the gauge asap and rinse and repeat.

Great video and great commentary. Today there was an argument on streaming about Valtan being easy to solo if you are overgeared enough. I'm not sure if it is that easy, let's be honest it is not that easy at all and knowing that you have no room for error, since you are the only person in the party, must be nerve wracking at least for the first few times. Also, I'm not sure why sorceress is considered an easy class, it seems to me that you stand still a lot due to casting time, never played it though

@@MangerzArt This will always be the debate, range vs melee. Sorc does not need to worry so much about positioning to do full damage, however melee classes are given a lot more dashes and ways to reposition to get them selves behind the boss. I wouldn't even say having range is always an advantage since so many boss mechanics are using pizzas and we all know its way easier to walk around a pizza from the inside than on the outside. I normally sit in melee on top of my bard for shields and just let the shields eat any damage I take

Rime arrow can be used to cancel explosions push back, punishing strike & rime arrow are interchangeable as skills to cancel animations, he could even click spacebar if he wanted.

He explains earlier in the video that the boss has stacks which increases the boss defense, he turned the stack from 4 to 3 at 15:49 so he deals more dmg to the boss because the boss o ly has 3 defense stacks instead of 4

How much dps loss is playing this high swift build vs the conventional spec/crit build? I like the playstyle of the high swift more but theres no point if its doing significantly less overall dps i.e more than a 10% diff.

Depends if you run into mana issues or not. You can often outdamage everyone just because your build enables you to cast faster and even run away quicker. You can go for a risky plays that others won't be able to pull off.

I wanted to ask something about Bosses that have their counters. Do they activate with spells that have lingering effects? For example, Sorc has a tripod in blaze that leaves that flame area in the ground, does that activate the boss counter? I don't know if i saw it happen in this video and i went through abyssal dungeons with the boss' counter being activated even though i had stopped atacking it

the spell has to have the "counter=yes" in its description, iirc, each class have one or two counter attacks

I think there's a limited leeway for activation of the counter. I have seen a lot of residual effects on the boss without the counter activating which leads me to believe that you need to read the animation and cease your attacks before the counter phase primes and a number of attacks or amount of damage triggers it.

You didn't ask about players Counter skills but Boss Counter mechanics :-D I'm no expert, but the lingering effect don't do THAT much damage in most cases to activate it, since pretty much every Counter mechanic I saw needed some 'minimal damage' to trigger so as long as you didn't sent another nuke, you should be alright.

I'm currently running a Swift main - spec off Ignition sorc and I love it. I love the extra movement speed and that all my skills are on constant usage/cd. I have no issue going into ignition either because I'm just bombarding the boss with skills constantly. Feels like reflux with the extra umph from turning on ignition

I'm using only blaze to be my dmg amp and that alone is enough most o the time. I only have 500swift, if the boss stands in blaze for just 2sec I have it back up by the time the buff is just running out. I also used the vortex before thinking it would be better, but you just lose dmg by not using a different spell. At least that was my conclusion with my trials

Yeah my main gripe with sorc is the lack of base move speed. Velganos solo can kind of be annoying (without swiftness cloaks) because you need good timing/distance to not eat hits where it is much easier on say zerker or blade. Even on my bard with 1500 swift I can zip around and do basic dodging so much easier. Very cool to see the 2nd awakening finally get some use again, I always thought it seemed like it was a good 'fire and forget' ult. So we need 2 pc Nightmare and 4 pc Domination for this? Sounds like we can't do this build until Vykas is released in NA then...for 2nd substat on neck are they going crit or spec?

You can but it's not worth. Same as crit rate the more you have the less value. So keen blunt get less value if you already have crit damage from other sources. And that's the big reason why keen blunt and raid captain is the most overrated engraving right now.

It's an interesting build but super narrowed to the specific relic set and also even with Precision Dagger and (I assume) crit rate tripods, he is losing a lot of damage cuz many skills don't crit (for example Rime Arrow multihit mostly do white dmg) Full swiftness it's a bit too much imo. I would like to play spec/swiftness but idk where yo find the crit cuz with Argos set and the Magick amplification it's not enough (around 50% in Full Sun+ amplification) and just 15% for the Sun stacks. These using a swiftness neck

Don’t you think it would be better that instead of having 550 Specialization to have 550 Crit? You will end up with 1750 Swiftness and 550 Critical, that’s like 20% Crit and adding Dagger that would be 40% and with Igniter 65%

crit swift is for reflux build. Igniter sorc need specialization to increase speciality meters generation and increase the damage amplification. Without spec then whats the point of playing igniter…..
