the designs are peak. Citlali, mualani, and himeko are must pulls for me. I imagine the "tournament" is gonna be a massive event with a festival sorta like the Brazilian carnival mixed with Tlachtli. The tone of the story will probably be really lighthearted until mid way into the tournament. Now the pyro archon was shown to be a Phoenix when she went past capitano so it wouldn't surprise me if she "died" during the tourney only to come back later. I highly doubt death is permanent here, hell I'll go a step further into looney town and say the pyro archon and those "eyes" are the same being and she's constantly dying and reviving like subaru from re:zero.

I find it funny when people say “as a dark skinned person I don’t care about skin diversity”. And?? You don’t speak for all dark skinned people who are rightfully criticizing a game that is being blatantly colorist and perpetuating racial stereotypes?? Like, be so fr. Using your voice to silence people in your community who are speaking out about racism and colorism is a weird flex to the highest degree. We live in a world where dark skinned people are told they are less desirable/unappealing because of their skin. Black and brown people can’t even cosplay a character they like without being told “x character isn’t black or any other dark skinned race”. There are people all over the world talking about how this is an issue so to see people get on the internet in 2024 and try to diminish it to being an “American” mind set is absolutely egregious. We truly need to start being more critical about the level to these issues. Black and brown people still should not be having to explain why they should be able to see characters like them in their culture who are not villains. I am SO sick of the way this fandom tries to gaslight and demean people into thinking the criticism around not having dark skinned playable characters is not valid. I hope for it, that we will see some kind of Hunger Games Plotline Tournament Story with each of the 6 tribes sending out a Team of 2 to partake in the tournament, which will do an extra 2 teams this time, because of outlanders from outside of Natlan participating this time, that claimed the right to partake, by fulfilling several challenges in all the tribe lands before. The 8 Teams are then: Kachina and Mualani = Tribe 1 Kinich and ??? = Tribe 2 Chasca and Citlali = Tribe 3 Xbalanque and Mavuika = Tribe 5 Xilonen and Iansan = Tribe 6 Capitano and Columbina = Outlanders 1 MC and ???/Character outside from Natlan of Choice or Story given, like say Tartaglia, or Dehya or whoever = Outlanders 2 kind of a smaller version of the hunger games :D cause in the movies theres 12 teams, that that woudl be just too much for Genshin :D That way we could have an epic Hunger Games Story Finish, while the first patches we need to travel naturally first to all the tribes, in order to do successfulyl all the required Tournament Challenges, so that we can qualify us to be able to become a participatign team in the tournament at the end..plus its naturally obvious that we will have to explore Natlan first, and get to learn more about all the tribes... how shoudl we be able to understand this tournament and its meaning behind all of it, when we dont even know anythign about its 6 tribes, what makes them special and why its neccessary to approve amogn them and their challenges, before becoming effectively WORTHY first to participate in the special tournament. The tribe challenges are there to effectively wringe out the weak from the strong, so that only those who are fit, healthy and strong enough for the tournament, participate in it, so that only the best of the best rival agaisnt each other :D
