Article 5...(paraphrased)...an attack upon one of the member states in Europe or North America will be considered an attack upon them all'. We in the USA never imagined that the only time in the 70 year history of NATO that the article would be invoked was in defense of the U.S.!! Thank you to our allies in our NATO family...(May I show this to the current president of the U.S.?)

I remember when NATO invoked Article 5 and sent some AWAC planes to the U.S. Like many Americans, I remember having to think bout that for a second. We were always so used to sending aid to others. It was extremely odd to suddenly be on the receiving end. The gesture was very profound and I remember tearing up a bit. We in America know that we don't always get it right. We make mistakes at home and abroad. But we try to be on the right side of history. I'll always be thankful for the international support we received after 9-11.

Americans should and always be grateful to the response of NATO, the United Nations, and others especially to the ones within giving the ultimate sacrifice. 9/11 shows us even today, that we must always stand united. The amount of destruction to property and lose of life was then and still is today the catalyst where our collective outrage and anger pools against the people who organize such attacks. An attack on ONE is an attack on ALL, and you will face the furry of ALL.

Yup true, we need to appreciate and be grateful of our allies. Which is why it would be good to have the position of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, the head of the NATO's Allied Command Operations, to be held by Generals or Admirals of other member states rather than just America. Give other countries a chance to lead, rather than just always America taking the leadership position. I believe this will improve relationships with other member states as well, others can see that America is not always thinking about America only but others as well.

I believe i was around 11... i Believe its the only time that NATO acted in the reason it was made for (Thankfully). I have always found that a defensive alliance should be maintained. We might have slightly different cultures, but we all value peace. The world has seen endless wars between the beginning of humanity until today. "Thank you to all the people from other countries that assisted America in the war on terror." a little like the three musketeers... one for all and all for one. :) I live in a relatively small country, but i knew we send folks over to aid.

im from Denmark :D i was only 4 years when this happened i only remember coming into the living room where my mother was in absolut shock i did see those towers go down but clearly dident understand at the time.... i can only wonder what foughts went trough everyones heads back then.... i belive i can answer a few in our perspective ( Fear the consequences, how big and extend will this war be? Who is to blame? why did this happen? so many innocent people for what? Worry of what is to come? how longs it going to last? Today my perspective is we are not finished and the world is only going more unstable by the day... today i feel the anger of the terrorists who did this and sadness i jump back to find new facts to understand what exactly is the cause of the direction we are all heading into and i belive we will end up with something far worse than we have ever experienced in history if we are not carefull and able to forgive... those who were responsible is dead... now we kill the ones who thinks we are the terrorists because we defended our selfes in the end we have to forgive and move on to avoid further blood spilled even when anger has overcome us :/ most people in arabic nations doesent like the west because of all the actions done against them either in the end its going to stop but there is only few ways to do so we got to fix the issues at hand or its going to explode and i dont want that to happen :( i grew up thinking all arabic people were terrorists the immigrants i met proved me more than wrong and i had so many questions???? i grew up in fear for someone i had never met its time to change this retorik the news must stop that... we must stop that... what we do is what the world will look like tomorrow so start putting the bricks together and change for the better :D May the world soon become peacefull so that safety and happiness again will thrive around the whole world PEACE BE WITH U AND MAY ALL GODS BLESS ALL ❤

We'll never know the whole truth. Its been nearly 21 years since, technology then to today has been a massive leap. If there has been no legitimate proof that can be taken to US or international Court today, then we must accept that 9/11 happened exactly as how it was said. Poor intelligence, too many steps in buraceracy, which caused al qaeda to achieve something no intel officer at the time thought was possible. Was it a cruise missile, with explosives rigged in the buildings, if it was, we are running out of time as many of the top people in charge have died or nearing death age.
