Hungary’s air force gears up with enhanced firepower as Saab clinches a deal for additional Gripen C fighters, solidifying their strategic partnership. Saab has cemented its collaboration with Hungary by securing a contract for four additional Gripen C fighter aircraft.
The Saab JAS 39 Gripen is a light single-engine supersonic multirole fighter aircraft manufactured by the Swedish aerospace and defence company Saab AB. The Gripen has a delta wing and canard configuration with relaxed stability design and fly-by-wire flight controls.
Later aircraft are fully NATO interoperable. As of 2020, more than 271 Gripens of all models, A-F, have been delivered. In 1979, the Swedish government began development studies for "an aircraft for fighter, attack, and reconnaissance" to replace the Saab 35 Draken and 37 Viggen in the Swedish Air Force.

In 2023, I was an extreme fan of the MiG-29, but now in 2024, I am an extreme fan of the JAS-39 Gripen.

I hope that SAAB won't give Hungary access to too much technological know-how since I fear that knowledge will be sold to Russia next day. Or perhaps China since they now have a security arrangement with Hungary....

they are not getting gripen E that one we wont sell its other models, they are also great but not as revolutionary in tech as the E. the E wont be sold.

We will stop vetoing Sweden joining NATO if they give Hungary 4 more Gripen.....sounds like blackmail to some. What do you think?
