Tempest -why no thrust vectoring vs lose vertical tales as per NGAD?
@hukedonfonix16714 ай бұрын
The amount of computer inputs to make a vertical stabless plane as maneuverable as an F-22 makes it highly vulnerable to hackers, not saying it's not possible but keeping some traditional aircraft that can fight without satellites is necessity
@technoverse1014 ай бұрын
Quantum encryption would render them unhackable, and they could also have a backup legacy navigation and targeting system that could be used when satellite links fail

Id like to see an updated f-23 not to compete with foreign companies but be exclusive to the united states military. Kind of like the f-22 raptor but better. We can do it along with a secure border and a change in leadership in the November election. Not to mention an American made iron dome....which i cant believe we dont already have...its embarrassing and dangerous that we dont lead in every military aspect with our budget.

The biggest problem with buying American Aircraft is being beholden to the USA regarding what is done with them after they have served their full term of service and are now taking up valuable space, money and manpower to maintain and keep prepared for use. Australia found out the hard way that they couldn't just sell off their F-111 aircraft when they decided to replace them with something else, SO Australia finally decided to bury the perfectly functional airframes in the outback somewhere and drive over them with bulldozers so they couldn't be dug up and pilfered for parts and intelligence. and because of America's insistence on having a say in what happens to their aircraft after they have finished serving the Australians will likely never buy another American aircraft. Every nation that has bought American fighter aircraft has to deal with this kind of thing and it has recently become quite unpopular when they want to donate their old F-16 fighter jets to a Country that badly needs them, like Ukraine. So, this has become a thing where I and everyone else fully understands why it has to be that way, and why American produced aircraft and many other high level technology military equipment, remains a well-guarded secret, and that is on purpose. but for an airframe that has been decommissioned and no longer produced, and America also being unwilling to buy back old aircraft to keep the secrets safe has begun to make America look like a bunch of A**holes who want to sell their weapons, but not incur any of the drawbacks of such sails while making the buying nation responsible for everything, including fulfilling America's whims on their own technology even when they are no longer in use and obsolete. So, I perfectly understand why Great Britain, Italy and Japan want to design and build their own aircraft and America can choke on it.

My top secret company builds 25 th-Generation Fighter Jet and it makes the 6th-Generation Fighter Jet look like it came from a museum and extremely boring if it even exists. I can't disclose the technology I have in the media, otherwise it would be a victim of death, so it's confidential. Unfortunately, the 6th-Generation Fighter Jet is in a museum. SORRY

USA has 6th generation fighter jet better than NGAD?? Hurrah! 👋👋👋Now perhaps the USA can finally get their two astronauts, who have been stranded at the International Space Station (ISS) since early June 2024, back to planet Earth.

As it has in the past (ie B-2; F-22), the U.S. will develop a NGAD fighter that is too expensive for Congressional funding, make 2 - 4 flight test vehicles, and then drop the program while the EU collaborates and jointly funds their own version. The war in Ukraine is already showing the deficit in Russian aerial tactics and armaments, so WHY is any new plane required when USAF is still stocking up on F-35's (already w limiting flaws!!) They wanted 100+ B-2 Spirit bombers, but cut the number down to 21 due to cost. Same w the F-22. All this talk of SR-72 DarkStar and USN buying YF-23's is wishful thinking. Boeing can't be trusted to make ANYTHING cost effective AND SAFE and Lockheed Martin will be way too expensive.
@coldblooded23173 ай бұрын
Both Boeing and LockMart toed the line until moving production from US soil, thus losing respect for US oversight and a tax-payers budget... anything Ukraine gets will be slush fund , its a used car war on both sides, so long as america can buy its own military planes with its citizens taxes, then tell the world with a straight face we are stopping ww3... the EU knows exactly what they are doing everytime the money is ready, they find a war to call for help, and the help has too often been for unfettered access the tax bills and grants... why is a plane needed? Why is a war invented...

Has Ukraine not taught you anything, Russian stuff is way behind the West. Tanks, hypersonic missiles, unbeatable jets & helicopters even it's touted S400 missile defence system have performed poorly when pitched against Western counterparts. Kremlin propaganda machine always talks up abilities but real world shows it's just talk.
