That's why she drew and rigged her original Live2D avatar herself, why she started as an independent Vtuber, why she kept pushing to join Hololive after initially getting rejected, why she got herself transfered from the INNK side project to the main Hololive branch when she was concerned about playing second-fiddle to Azki, and why she had the vision to direct (or at least help direct) everything from lighting to camera angles for those fantastic 3D live performances she put on.

Matsuri is chaotic and likes to let loose. And I like it. She's not your typical idol and still distinct even among her hololive "idol"(lol) peers. But that makes her relatable and much closer to her fans. I admire all Vtubers, I am attracted to Hololivers, but Matsuri is the one I ideally want to be friends with. To me, I feel she's a character that's down to earth and true to herself and people around her. A bestie that will stay with you a long time, maybe forever, even to the point of annoying you but you'd still want her to be around. Someone that will open her heart to you and will let you open up to her. Matsuri is an interesting entity. Every time I watch her talking about how she's basically accepted the fact that she's not as easy to openly like as some of the other girls, I wonder if that's actually true. I can't see why people wouldn't like both sides to Matsuri. Calm and cute normally, wild and silly with friends. It's actually a really fun balance. Now, I say this while admitting I don't really watch Matsuri that much. I only can watch clips otherwise I won't know what she's saying/talking about, and it's sad, since I think it'd be nice to just go to her stream and listen to her talk all calmly and casually. On the other hand, I absolutely love the fact that she can talk about whatever without much inhibition. She doesn't feel like she's bogged down by potential embarrassment. It's such a difficult thing for so many people that it might as well be one of Matsuri's best traits. She's the full package, you get all sides to her. I'd say the only thing I'd wish she'd do is have some of her wild moments on her channel and some of her calm moments on collabs. Basically, Matsuri is great because she's Matsuri. I wouldn't have her any other way, and maybe someday when I learn more Japanese, I'll spend more time with Matsuri, cause I do believe she deserves more fans who like all parts of what makes her, her.
