NorthWest Bank in Helena Montana used to have a gold display years ago that had some fantastic wire gold specimens and wire 'nests' from Alder gulch and Last Chance gulch. Had to edit. You can really see the difference in the gold from were it came from . California and Nevada gold is really bright and pure , here in Oregon on my claim that is more or less in the cascades , the gold is not as bright and a lot of it has been alloyed with silver . I have found some electrum as well witch is gold and silver alloyed together . The last rams horn that you showed you could see that it probably has some silver mixed in with it . I also noticed that the gold from Arizona is kinda darker that some places . Very cool stuff , wish I would have taking geology and made a career out of it !

QUESTION!! WOULD GOLD CRYSTAL BE DELICATE, AND FRAGILE, AND BRITTLE? UNLIKE A NUGGET? AND WHAT ABOUT PURPLE COLOR IN A CRYSTAL?

@@ChrisRalph well it's the same color as 24 karat gold jewelry, and iridescent purple in a few spots. Can pyrite crystals be the same color as gold? THANKS BTW!! Love you channel!!
@ChrisRalph2 жыл бұрын
Generally speaking, pyrite has a greenish cast that gold does not. That said, gold with unusually large amounts of silver can take on a greenish cast. So while normally gold and pyrite are not exactly the same color, in some cases gold can be the same color as pyrite. That is why color is not a good test. Much better is to give the suspected gold sample a good hard whack with a hammer. Pyrite is brittle and will shatter, while gold is malleable and will flatten down.

Be already did that.... Hydrothermal vent, hot mineral solution, gold is combined with sulfur in that solution, it finds metallic or oxide of iron in the ground and the iron and sulfur try to swap places . The sulfur interacts with the iron , leaves a layer of sulfer and gold and the hot solution then removes the sulfur back from that iron ,leaving a deposit of gold and iron and whatever else dropped out of that solution while the sulfer and iron were playing and dropping the gold . This is SUPER basic ...but I'm no professional , I'm just a nerd who likes to search for precious metals, gems and minerals.

sort of but not exactly the same.

@@ChrisRalph I don't think I've ever seen that but have seen videos on the silver cell. That's the only way I could think of growing any. Unless you take a gold in solution and maybeit evaporate kinda like making rock candy lol. I'm an auto tech not a chemist haha

@@ChrisRalph on a serious note, i wonder if the gold you show had any influence on the building of the great pyramids of the world? especially if you buy into the version of history of humans being made as a slave by the Annunaki to mine gold for them? perhaps it was the alien race of Annunaki who actually built the pyramids🤔

Images are photographs not pictures. Blame our education system from the mid 1950s onward.

Remember that everything in that video is a photograph of something or a video of something. Even the drawing of the gold crystals is a picture of the pages of a book. The definition of "Image" is: An image is an artifact that depicts visual perception, such as a photograph or other two-dimensional picture. - note the use of both of the words "photograph" and "picture" in the definition of "image".

The New Jerusalem Celestial City is made with Translucent Gold. Could the crystalize Gold be what they use. Asking for those that believe the bible!
@ChrisRalph2 жыл бұрын
Its transparent, not translucent, and that is not normal gold like we think of gold, so I have no idea of its crystal properties.

there's loads of this crap down the south of my country, UK, in cornwall i threw shit loads of it into the sea a few years back
@ChrisRalph2 жыл бұрын
If you threw away loads of gold, you are not very bright. Luckily it was likely pyrite that you could not tell the difference.
@lukegamerdonkey66632 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisRalph no it was definitely gold sticking out the quartz like snow ❄️ i would’ve kept the pyrite lol 😂

The person at 15:40 should have taken a better picture. The beauty of the gold is ruined by those crusty hands. Someone needs to photoshop that out.

If you had something like that in your hands, you would not want to let go.

Can’t anyone with certain skills make a fake crystalline gold?
@ChrisRalph2 жыл бұрын
its extremely difficult to grow large crystals. The earth takes thousands of years to do the natural ones.
