What amazing job! What I have also noticed is that we have the same hair type and the only way I can part my hair is with my fingers because it gets tangled easily seeing that it's so fine. Cornrowing and dutch braiding look similar, but there's a difference in the braiding technique. What u did was a cornrow. Love the hair style

Thank you for your response. I am not on any prescription medications but I am 57 and been in menopause for years. I sleep with a fan blowing on me at night and have wondered if this is the cause.
