I joined the comb-free club about 1 1/2 months ago. So far, my hair is loving it. I have yet to straighten it, though. Which, I'm anticipating will be a detangling nightmare, since I won't be using oil as a detangling aid when I do. My growth-retention journey has been about 13 months long. My hair has grown SOO much thanks to KZbin.

I swear down Laila, your recommendations are heaven sent! No more dreading wash day and detangling. Just wanted to say, thanks for the knowledge you impart...and God bless. Can't wait for my hair to look as gorgeous as yours in a couple years (still transitioning atm). You remain my youtube BFF (lol). Much love 😘❤️

sensimania really ??? i have thick hair and mine takes at least 30min
@sensimania
@sensimania 7 жыл бұрын
Blackisbetterthanpink Pink - It takes you 30mins including deep conditioning and styling afterwards? I work in 4 sections, do it's like washing my hair 4 times. This helps me minimise tangles. Also, I deep condition my hair for 30mins. After leaving a tshirt on my head for 30-60mins (depending on if i have anything to do - like eat - during that time), it'll take me abt an hour to moisturise in sections and put my hair in 10 twists (or single plaits) at the end, so a washday will never be 30mins for me, lol! Good for you though!

This video was affirming for me. I am also a finger detangling only, clay wash exclusive natural.I only use the tail of a rat tail comb to part my hair; the teeth never touch my hair. For styling, I use Soultanicals Marulu Muru Moisture Guru. I am in the process of growing my hair back after some struggles with it in 2012. On a real road to recovery but I am looking forward to my hair growing as long as yours. #hopeful Thank you so much for sharing for beautiful hair and spirit with us!

Do you rinse the ACV out with warm or cold water? I would imagine that warm water would do the opposite of what the rinse in meant to do & lift the hair cuticle all over again & cold water wouldn't really get the ACV fully out.... Maybe i'm just overthinking it?

This is such a great video. I am just learning that I have low porosity hair as well. Would you please explain why you closed your hair follicles with cold ACV and then 2-5 mins later, opened them back up with warm water? Or were you using cool water at the end? I'm trying to figure out the best time to close my follicles and seal the moisture. 😊

I'm gonna TRY and stop using combs. I only really use combs on my wash day (which is like every 1-3 months) to ensure zero tangles in my hair. But I'm completely amazed how you don't use combs. I want my hair to get thicker and I have noticed how combs take out so much of my hair. When I finger detangle I have little to no hair shedding/breaking.

Thank you for sharing your routines. I am following you for so long now, your hair is amazing, healthy, long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am happy I found someone using an oil mix in its routine and not a deep conditioner because i don't really use a "deep conditionner", so I felt a little like an outcast, lol! I know that their benefits are not the same. I call my oil mix a "Hot Oil DC". I follow almost the same routine as yours since so many years, my 4B/4C hair grows. Hot Oil mix overnight - Clay + ACV Shampoo - Leave in - Shea Butter Mix or Pomade/grease (all natural). I have just recently incorporated a little of honey in my oil mix so that it can add a more deep conditionning effect. I also add a preservative ( 2 drops of cosgard, i don't know the translation in english, i am french) to prevent the mixture to go bad. Thanks for being an inspiration and a blessing. God bless you :)
