I've been following your channel since when you first started transitioning (when you had people close to you reacting negatively towards going natural) and now your hair has grown so much and you have all these people (like myself) wanting strong and thick beautifuly hair like yours. You have come a long way, not just with your hair but with your growth as a young woman. You are by far my favorite youtuber

Hi Shade! I literally read your comment and it made me so emotional. By God's grace i've been able to share my journey with you all and like you said not just my hair but myself as a woman. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to help other's in something that may seem so trivial to other's yet it makes the biggest difference to some. I've come a long way since recording videos on Kaila's laptop at uni lol. Thank you for being a part of my journey for this long. I've learnt soo much from every single of you guys. God bless you 😊

I always tried to straighten my hair coz it was too big but u made me fall in love with my big hair 😍

iknow right :-) just anonsense of ignorants. Sawanneh nenegale I already follow alot of west African women with different hair texture, some people like being ignorant. but it's funny to me.
@241Genevieve8 жыл бұрын
This is true but as someone who is west African it is also important to note that Lilia is a mixture of different ethnic group in west Africa, one of them known for having looser hair. The vast majority of us just have 4 types hair
@tianamsh8 жыл бұрын
241Genevieve what is she mixed with? I though she was hausa and fante (Akan). i still cant relate because mom's family have curly hair. and we are not known for having curl hair or anything like that
@241Genevieve8 жыл бұрын
Yep the Hausa and Fulani women in Nigeria do tend to have different hair texture, longer and looser than the average Nigerian. This doesn't mean none have kinky hair, but they just tend to be more longer and looser in general. But I do get your point even in Nigeria people do have different hair, there's another youtuber that has the same texture as Lilia but not the same ethnic group.

Hello again Laila, I'm playing catch up on ALL that I've missed! My hair team has been busy I see, I've missed you all. Great tutorial, I love the new editing and visual marker that I'm seeing, very clean presentation lol! I haven't tried any tea rinses or clays yet but I'm hearing all good things so I'll probably have to give it a try soon. I love the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In conditioner as well and they have it with Argan Oil now and it's great, I feel like it can be used as a styling product the way it coats and moisturizes my strands. I started finger detangling back in May of 2013 and I love it but a couple of months ago I noticed too many tangles and my hair just didn't look or feel right, so I decided to take my Denman out of hibernation and put her to good use and I have to say the Denman brush paired with trimming really helped thoroughly detangle my hair. I won't be using the brush on a regular basis because I do prefer finger detangling as my only way of detangling. Oooh your hair it's just a jaw dropper Laila, beautiful hair and I love the new look of your shea butter packaging, nicely done my friend. I gotta get me some mo' lol!

@platinumbranch20568 жыл бұрын
If you start now while it's shorter, it will be easier because you'll be used to it as it grows out. I started after a big chop two years ago and now it's so simple, like second nature. I have actually never used a comb and my hair is now 12 inches.

+FusionofCultures Cantu has a leave in for natural hair it's the same ingredients but it doesn't have silicones on it. You should use that one because your not using a sulfate shampoo to remove the silicones on your hair strands(you can have product build up).

Hi Leila! What are the benefits of deep conditioning before washing? I was always taught to deep condition after washing because your hair strands can't reap the full benefits because of product build up and your hair cuticle not being lifted. I've been seeing a lot of naturals deep conditioning before washing and I'm just wondering of the why.
@dearinsomniadontletthebedb92372 жыл бұрын
They were deep conditioning before to help detangle the hair. Also, it prevents the shampoo from stripping the hair too much...

Yes I love finger detangling. It's so much better than using a shower comb for me TBH. I have very fine strands so one pass with a comb is so bad. I've tried to detangle with a comb lately and I felt and heard strands snapping and immediately used my fingers. I'm never going back to a comb
@kendalaimes10678 жыл бұрын
Plus I can allow my hair to absorb the product better (I'm also low porosity) and when I finger detangle my hair I squeeze and run my fingers through.

Hi there FusionofCultures! I enjoyed this video but I have a question about one of your wash day routines; I was wondering why would you use a deep conditioner on unclean hair BEFORE shampooing when the purpose of a deep conditioner is to adsorb, stick to the hair folicules to retain moisture and/or penetrate the shafts of the hair if you're going to just wash it out right after? I would think that the dirt on the unclean hair would act as a barrier and prevent the deep conditioner from doing its job, and then yo be golliwed by shampooing which will strip your hair of all products including the deep conditioner you just applied and will cleanse your scalp.
