HAIR PREP
Begin with freshly washed & blowdried hair. I start with parting the top half of my hair down the middle. Then I part down the sides to the top of my ears. I flat my hair on both sides using the braid gel the smooth my hair. On the back half of my head, I make a perimeter braid along the sides and front. Then I braid the rest in 4 cornrows.
I take one bundle and cut in half, and separate each strand into three.
INSTALL TECHNIQUE
I begin by crocheting around the perimeter braid using invisible root method, and I crochet each strand about half a finger-width apart. In the back, I used the regular crochet method checking the density along the way to fill in any areas with too much space. After, I cut off the scraggly ends and do a bit of shaping to make sure the ends are even.
Next, I flexi rod. I used 10 of the grey ones for this style. Starting in the back, I take a section of hair. Roughly stretch it with the blow dryer on high for about 10-15 seconds. Next, I dip the hair in boiled hot water for 10 seconds and let the hair completely air dry before taking the rods down. Next, separate and fluff each curl. Make sure the hair is fluffed out enough at the root to keep my cornrows underneath hidden.
To add final touches on the style, I put rubber bands on the ends of the flat twists to keep them from unraveling and pin them in the back. And that's it!!
Thanks for watching!!
God Bless,
Nashae :)
