I am still experimenting with how i convert and edit color film, i did want the pink hue , but also i think my film developed a bit more "washed" out than usual

Different kind of scanning settings can give different kind of results. Every person's scanning comes out differently. And she already answered me.

I think some of the leg shots feel to deliberate and it was competing with the rest of the image, although she has great legs. The leg shots of later on when she's out in the open, those seem to work really well. The back and shoulder shots are really beautiful. The film shots are really nice, as well. I think the shots that didn't show any skin are really good, too, just simple elegant flower girl.

Omg how ironic! That sky blue maxi dress with the white chiffon cover up is exactly what I'm going to wear for my maternity photo shoot. I had a nude maxi dress also to go underneath but I switched it to sky blue also because I'm having a boy. Very sexy and boudoir. I love your style! It's soooooo my style also!

Hey Irene, Love your videos! When shooting at f1.2, how many of the photos would you say, percentage-wise, are in focus? I shoot with Nikon, and it seems like when I use my 85mm at 1.4, a very significant number of photos are not in focus. I can fire 4 shots in a row, and only one will be in focus, the others all over the place. Wondering if Canon is better.

Hey Irene, try something new. Take your 85mm lens out of 1.2. Try setting the aperture to f8 or f11 or maybe even f22. Something different. You might like it and forces you to pay attention to the complete composition.

Getting out of your comfort zone is key to developing new skills and producing new photographic styles. We all go through this journey in photography and we all tend to get stuck on the "same old thing" when what we really need is a kick start into something else. I got my first camera 60 years ago and at times have been artistically stuck and I have learned that I need to get out of my comfort zone if I want to be a better photographer. And I'm still trying...

Irene do you use some filter on your 85mm? Couse outside is so bright and you use F1.2 and only 1/250 Shutter speed.

we were shooting in the shade at 7pm, it wasn't that bright :)

Talking about filters, have You tried ND filter? In theory it should help to save highlights in situation like in this video. I haven't tried ND filter but I'm planning to try and/or buy it just because of this reason. But other issue can be/is sensors dynamic range in contrasty situations like this, that can lead to too noisy shadows. Willing to try this as a lot of times too bright light source ruins shot.

I have used a depth of field calculator and the numbers do not come out, shooting with that objective at F1.2 and you are seen at a distance of about 8 meters from the model you have a depth of field ahead of 0.30 meters and 0.33 meters behind and you get the model fully focused (minute 6.25), the basket of flowers and the grass that is in front of the model and also you swing the camera to focus and frame, I don't know, the numbers don't add up or you're not shooting to F1.2 and that you want us to believe, because I have consulted more photographers and they do not believe it, if it is shooting at 2.8 and your eyes are focused and the tip of your nose is already out of focus, could you give an explanation? Thank you.

@@IreneRudnyk Thanks Irene, seeing the photo at a larger size you see some blur more according to the aperture you use, in the photo that appears in the video you do not see so much blur, it is the disadvantage that every small photo looks good, I understand that you move away from the model to gain some depth of field, something that using the depth of field calculator it is perfectly clear that the greater the distance you gain more depth of field. I hope you take my comment wrong, I only asked for an explanation, yesterday I took a portrait photo at F2.2 with a 50mm and the eyes focused and the tip of the nose slightly out of focus, I know that the conditions are not the same or the optical the same but in study one does not tend to stray so far, greetings from Spain.
