On the runways this year we saw a resurgence of the natural makeup look from the supermodels of the early '90's. This look was completely matte (no shimmer) and really defined each model's own features.
Today's look video - natural makeup - is a more modern take on the look of the '90's. As always, Robert believes you should take each look he teaches you and focus on how that look can be brought out with your own features to help you be your own beautiful best...versus a copied version of someone else's beautiful best. :)

the reason I give brush info more than exact product names, is because it you already own a matte brown why buy a new one??!!! the tool is the most important part!!!! with the right tool you can make any color look great!!!!

one of my favorite matte eye products is Bare Minerals Well-Rested which works as both a highlighter for under the eyes as well as a matte base on your lids. it literally wakes your eyes right up.

i've always been told i have beautiful eyes, but now i'm older and have a newfound hood going on. i've been spending more time on my makeup lately and have been getting lots of compliments, but man i would love to see what robert could do to me?? i'll bet he could really make them pop! i had my makeup done @ a Chanel counter recently and honestly don't see where she did it any better than i do? that being said, as i said above, i'm sure someone like robert could make magic...

Robert- you've become one of my favorite makeup artists to watch. :) thanks for helping me educate myself. I have a challenge tutorial for you though... "How to make small lips bigger." Every model I've seen has plump lips, but my top lip is a bit thinner than my bottom. How would I fix that?? What I've done so far is use a highlighter on my cupid's bow (Benefit "High Beam.") Any other suggestions??

This was helpful. The primer made a huge difference in blending her make up. I noticed he didn't put eyeshadow on her entire lids, just partial shadow and blended up to the rest of the lids. But the primer added another element of 'natural' tone. I need to go invest in some new and better brushes. I am using "Elf Professional" which is not bad but I needed to step up my brush game. ha!

The detailed list of products used is also invaluable. Pity! This could be an interesting film - with quite a bit of editing. Which would also cut the ridiculous length, which, really, stems mostly from the brush-rummaging sections.

Yes, we get it. You have your own line of brushes. Stop telling us in each step of each tutorial. Maybe once in a while, tell us which makeup lines you prefer using, which colors and why? I think that would be way more informative.
