Excellent information. If we were living and eating the way the Creator intended us to, we'd have none of these problems. Because we're in a fallen state in a fallen world, we are dealing with a lot of other things that are against us and our well-being. Thank you Doc Jones.

My theory with ginseng improving sleep is that it encourages your body to actually use up energy in the day. Sometimes we can’t sleep because we haven’t actually used up the energy ..

Agree with you. One of the best things I did was quit ALL social media in 2020. All of it. Obviously I am still on YT. No FB, no instagram, no twitter, no gab, nothing. One thing I found, if I MUST be on screen, is to use "blue blocker" lenses. You can get them in "readers," with no magnification, or as clip ons. I highly recommend them.

I found that taking creatine increased my mental alertness. The downfall is after taking it every day for 1 week, the water retention it does, creates a sinus buildup that causes unsteadiness. I recently changed my meals to the diet i grew up on, meat with fresh herb seasoning and vegetables or salad depending on the season. This has made me feel better, sleep better and have more energy.

I read sage slows down acetylcholine metabolism, and thus keeps the levels high, which keeps memory good. Everyone should know of this for their parents / grandparents. I've personally had gr8 results with brain fog with Lions Mane mushroom extract. I agree that diet, sunshine, exercise, sleep are the major player as always. Oh, and high quality H20 - like an in home RO system (they make some countertop ones now). Chinese Skullcap never hurts.

I got sick in January after spending several days with family members who were jabbed and boosted. I struggled to get well, and every time I began to improve I came down with something else. The worst part was the persistent brain fog. Finally shook it with a month of Ivəŕmėćṭïn from full moon to full moon and daily nattokinase. I feel much better now and finally got well. Even helped clear up most of my seasonal allergies! I'll try some of these herbs as well. Thanks, Doc Jones!

I’ve heard people say that you shouldn’t take Ashwagandha for a long time but I have been taking it daily for over a year now as I get great anti stress relief and when I stopped for a short time I felt upset and stressed again so I started taking it again and felt better. I don’t think I should stop taking it but so many people say it’s not good to take it long term. What are your thoughts on it?

I was wondering if you would please consider doing a video on another member of the mint family, Prunella vulgaris, aka self-heal, heal-all, brownwort and such. I am particularly interested in knowing if cold infuse tea or boiling water tea method is best and what if any contradictions it may have. I share your videos and website to my family and friends and have purchased one of your medicinal classes for my grandchildren.

Hey Doc! Thanks for this. I’m pretty sure I had requested this…but I forgot! Anyhow, would you avoid any of these herbs (thinking vasodilators) for someone who has an aneurysm that can’t be treated (risks don’t outweigh the benefits)? How would you support this person? Are the herbal vasodilators to be avoided (thinking ginger for headaches might need to be avoided and perhaps the ginkgo and ginseng)? Thanks so much. See you in Coeur D’Alene soon!

I have fibromyalgia too, edibles allow me to sleep deep but a bit too deep being a special needs Mom. I had gotten my card and bought different edibles, and the dark chocolate with a hybrid seemed to work for me. It also helped as I was caregiving and helping my Mom through her time here, and then in my home going through in home hospice. I was her CNA with very little help and she was not a small woman due to the edema.

What if you can't sleep? Fitfully, I mean. It takes me hours to fall asleep at night and any noise besides white, wakes me fully. I'm just falling asleep and my wife starts snoring and my eyes snap open like a cartoon window shade. Now it's another few hours before I can go to sleep again. The odd thing is, I can fall asleep during the day with gravel trucks driving through a nitroglycerin plant, just not at night. It's like I'm programmed to sleep during the day and be awake at night. The same thing with my vision. I honestly believe I can see better at night than I can during the day. I also feel more calm and comfortable when I'm under the stars. Weird, huh?
