I'm going through menopause and I watched this video from my bed under my blanket. I'm actually on a rollercoaster of emotions and the struggle is real. Today is my 54th birthday and I can't stop crying. I don't even recognize myself anymore. It feels like I'm dying and even spending time with my children doesn't give me joy anymore. I really miss who I was before. Thank you for this video.

I'm 62 in May and luckily didn't have too many menopause unpleasant symptoms! From time to time hot flushes when I was in my fifties... I think it's because I eat a whole food plant based diet that includes a lot of salads, cooked veggies, légumes, seeds, wholegrains, tofu, tempeh etc... I don't drink wine or any alcohol at all! I speedwalk around 30 minutes at least 4 times per week! I do a light workout at home when I come back from walking! I do drink lots of organic soy milk that provides good phytoestrogens. I drink spring water, darjeeling tea, sometimes maté tea! Generally I am pretty strict with my lifestyle! It's essential to age as well as possible and I don't like doctors and their pills!!😅

Sweet potato and yam are not the same food, even though the names are used interchangeably. Sweet potato as the name suggests tastes sweet and comes in white, yellow and orange varieties. Yam is a root vegetable that is very hard to peel, is white and has to be boiled for a while to be edible, this has the more body identical hormones we need through peri/menopause.

I have found eating lightly cooked cabbage and other dark leady greens with every meal, raw carrots and stinging nettle tea made thick in the evening help with symptoms too.

The best thing to do when you feel like that is to have a hormone test done. To find out what are your levels. I did and that really helped. I am in HRT and I feel great. No more crying for nothing, I slept through the night and feel happy . I am 53 , plant-based low fat, gluten free. Menopause is difficult even if you do you best.

at 14:11. Thank you. you have given me permission to stop the medicalization of my body. My inner self keeps telling me to stop medicating everything and see then where I am at. I was on an anti depressant for 19 years and when I stopped taking it, all of my menopause symptoms are here. I had no idea how much the Paxil was covering, but I am determined to fix this with food and lifestyle. I am eating plant based and I believe it's changing me more and more over the years. And I walk and am in a hiking group. If I could just get this hip pain and insomnia under control. And there are so many over the counter things showing up now, it's hard to know what to try.

Somerhing that massively helps me is drinking beetroot juice daily and having 2 raw carrots every day . Also Unsulphured blackstrap molasses with a tablespoon of braggs vinegar helps my hot flashes ,anxiety etc Up to 2 tablespoons a day spaced out in hot water cooled down .

I started drinking soy milk and NMN supplement since I experienced symptoms last October, hot flushes and burning sensations at night. Now it’s been 5 months my symptoms is resolved haven’t have any symptoms and my period s5ill regular.I’ll be 48 on November

Why is no one taking about the correlation between animals fed grain and given hormones in the western countries vs the healthy animals raised on pasture or the fish protein that the Asians are eating. This makes the difference. In the U.S. we continue to hear that when women go carnivore or keto (which mostly is healthier meats, not hormone laden ones) their menopause symptoms cease.

True! I am transitioning to carnivore right now from mostly plant based, because the research and testimonies speak for themselves with regards to carnivore not only helping with peri and menopause symptoms but also with healing nearly all diseases. I am not even full carnivore yet and am seeing progress! And, I am doing natural remedies that help to balance hormones. I am 51.5 and just started dealing with strong perimenopause symptoms.

25:54 i’ve been WFPB since my mid 30s and at 51 now been suffering thru perimenopause anyway… perhaps the struggle could be worse but it’s just not always this simple.

Me too, been plant based over 23 years and having lots of perimenopause symptoms. I've been taking lots of herbs and supplements and yoni steaming, which helps.

When does advice really start? I’m at 20 minutes and yes I already know what menopause is, I want help for insomnia. I have zero hot flashes and other issues.

Magnesium Glycinate in the afternoon and at bedtime with chamomile tea helps with sleep. Also, ashwarghanda one month off and one month on helps loads with nigh sweats that keep you up.

Such a lovely talk! Thank you so much! Was researching a lot of information online and I thought it was so odd, how often menopause was called a disfunction. Just annoying! - The study with greek an mayan women was intersting to me. Would be lovely if you could link it somewhere? I am turning 40 and experience hot flushes and heat sensitivity and am wondering if other symptoms have been already perimenopausal the last few years, as I have been fully plant-based since I am 26. But to my surprise I couldn't find any study about that. Just heard somewhere years ago that vegans might go into menopause earlier. And the study you mentioned would be a proof of the less animal products the earlier the onset of menopause...

6g organic MSM Sulphur Crystals/flakes the bigger the better. (Not powder or capsules) 5g organic ashwagandha root powder. 5g organic RED maca root powder. 5g organic acerola cherry powder(vitamin c) Mix all together in a large glass of FILTERED water (non chlorinated, as it will decrease the effectiveness of the MSM) until everything is dissolved. Drink once a day. Also rub a good quality clareysage oil on soles of feet every night. I have tried this on 3 people and it took 6-8 weeks to work.

I was fine im 67 until July 2022 I had a pelvic CT scan , after that I had burns then atrophy and nerve damage in my vagina , estro creams burn ,,, it hurts to walk and sit , a yr later still the drs have no answers .

Hello Janey, let me be honest with you. I’m having hot flashes for about for months now and I have been trying many things to prevent it.I do regular exercise and don’t eat meat products much. I’m an Asian and I live in Japan. Japanese people have hot flashes and Asians have too as I have seen so far. And I have been trying a healthy lifestyle as you said but it didn’t work for my hot flashes. I tried the medication and it worked but I don’t want to continue medicine. Could you kindly tell me the other options to prevent naturally?

I would be interested to know how long these women lived to in the other countries you refer to and what their quality of life was, what other diseases did they suffer from. I think it's irresponsible to refer to a part of a study without fully analyzing it. How much protein did they consume, how much fat and what types, how much fibre, how did they prepare these foods? These are all really important questions. It is so annoying when people summarize things from a study without factoring everything else in, this is what starts false information and why everyone is confused about what to do and what to eat. Low fat diets have been pushed for ages how come we are still dying from diseases if it is so good. I think it's the type of fat that we consume, plus we are all different and have different genes, we can't do everything the same

I came across this video looking for remedies and adivce for menopause for my mom. She's 42 and we believe she could be going throught it already. She has insomnia and hair thinning and these things are taking a toll on her. Her hair thinning really stress her out. I know rosemary remedies for hair care work bc i use the but as for mom she has some kind of condition that not even the doctors cant tell us what it is so when she uses rosemary it burns her scalp. She'll get scalp paresthesia when she uses it. So I was wondering if anyone had some advice. My mothers the healthiest person I've ever know we try everything but dont know what to do anymore we just hope this gets over with soon.

Hi, what worked for me was rosemary oil but if it’s too strong dilute it a lot or get a rosemary humectant spray. Tie your hair with a silk scarf and then take a comb or brush and gently stroke it over your head. The silk scarf will protect your hair from friction and the brush or comb will stimulate hair follicles. Take a good hair vitamin. Use a silk scarf or silk pillow cases when sleep. During my worst phases I even tied a silk scarf on my head during the day for ultimate protection. No tight hairstyles Use microfiber towels for hair or soft cotton tshirt. Use natural shampoo If she has dark or red hair then use hibiscus water as a conditioning rinse after shampoo and leave it in. Hibiscus water (and rose Mary water) was essential for me. It dramatically stopped my hair loss. Drink lots of water Eat lots of fruits and veggies with vitamin c, (no c vitamin supplement) Be consistent and she will see small hair grow out in the thinning areas. How to make hibiscus water: Boil 1-2 liters of clean filtered water. Take off the stove. Put a big tablespoon of dried hibiscus flowers in the water and let it sit til it cools off. Strain, (you can reuse the flowers til they turn pale) The hibiscus water will now be a deep red color. After shampoo, pour it on hair, wring it out and tie a old T-shirt on your hair. Let it either dry in your hair or rinse it out after some time. I left mine in. It will stain your towels so use an old soft tshirt. If she’s blonde or light hair then use rosemary water. Make it the same way hibiscus water is made. Helps stop hair loss too.

When applying rosemary oil, add it to a carrier oil first. This will help eliminate the burning of the scalp.

Hi there, I’m not sure what type of discolouration you’re referring to but if it’s in skin folds ) armpits or groin kind. You might want to look into insulin resistance. It can give people skin tags too. Hope this helps and I see no one has responded to your question.
