In German, it’s a very literal language. Saying iIch bin means you are actually something when you introduce yourself you say Mein Name ist 😊

Introducing yourself by saying "Ich bin Hannah" is actually correct and commonly used in Germany. I'm German. "Mein Name ist Hannah" is also used frequently, but more formal.
