Bosemani rainbows, or neon tetras with a Ram pair, either electric blue or gbr... Love the scape though! Can't wait to see what you decide on
@nigga126652 жыл бұрын
best suggestion is to get neon tetras. like make it a species only tank with a huge school of neons. or add a pair of rams with the neons. will look really cool
@Raisin_Girl2 жыл бұрын
I've kept dwarf rainbowfish in a long tank with good flow. They love to school and play in a tank like that. They do color up nice when they grow and the blue silver flash would really pop in that scape imho. They get on and look great with neon tetras too
@helenchambers93572 жыл бұрын
Looking good, love the emersed plants. Would love to see green neons, the colour is far nicer than standard neons in my mind, a group of corys and at least one pair of dwarf cichlids - Apistogramma cacatuoides Orange would really stand out.

Beautiful scape, I would put in some kuhli fish just because they are really cool.

Wow this scape has turned out to be an incredible piece. Really love the minimal amount of planting as it doesn’t take away from the hard scape…perfect balance. I think Ember tetras or even cherry barbs would look amazing in this scape. Great work as always mate 👍

AMAZING! Love it... You turned a shalow planted tank into a super natural looking riverbed. I think a nice school of Corydoras pygmaeus would do the job.

The aquascape is awesome. However I'd definitely put more plants underwater, like anubias and buces. Anyway, it's up to you. Cheers.
@greggc682 жыл бұрын
I think the cloudiness is just an extra large bacterial bloom. There's a lot of organic matter (wood) there and it just has to run it's course. It will go away on it's own.
@MJAquascaping2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's almost gone already!

Came here to say the same, bacteria just free floating rn (especially as your dosing them too) it will go zing before too long.

I keep some wild caught Gold Tetras in my heavily planted tank - I think they would look AMAZING in your amazon "biotope" scape, the Gold would really pop in in amongst all that Centurion wood.

Looks fantastic. We'll done. So what about Pair of South American dwarf Cichlids ? They will love the hiding spots and bio litter. You will get breeding action and their behavior is fascinating.

Absolutely beautiful, well done. I'm no expert on the subject. I only have one aquascap and I've watched all of your videos to help me set mine up (if you'd like to see mine I'll send a picture, it's a 500 liter tank). What about puttind a tiny submerge light in the cave part of your scape? Something thats not very bright, that might show off the layers a little better. Great video as always.

Very naturel scape great job 👌 fish suggestion because your hardscape is very dark i would choose white cloud mountain minnows. They will pop out against the darker hardscape

Really nice aquascape. I would love to see in it natural phenotypes of bettas, or gouramis. But I know that your choice will be satisfying!!
@philcarlino69422 жыл бұрын
This is a perfect looking aquarium in my opinion. The planting adds to the hardscape instead of taking precedence over it. The little passages hidden throughout will make the behavior of the fish really shine. It sounds like it's going to be south american inspired, so I would stick to those small schooling species. I am concerned some of the fish might jump, so that eliminates hatchet fish and pencil fish. Dwarf cichlids will do well in this environment, I know you had been thinking about the Bolivian ram. Checkerboard cichlids would also look cool, they are so underrated. There are so many small tetras, I'd like to see something besides the rummynose, but they are great fish so I will not be disappointed if you choose them. Looking forward to the next update. Great work as always, MJ. Take care.

I would think you have to keep feeding your system with ammonia or fish food if you have no bioload. The milkyness might be bacteria die off unfortunately but you'll know when you test your params. Ziet er verder erg goed uit Mark!!

A lots of products used! For me, when i use so much woods, it's the same until i could put some amano shrimps and snails. I just using purigen and coil (carbon ?) in the filter. The problem came from the wood i think. Sometime, i have trouble with the wood where it go out of the water (some fungus on the emerge part by example). I use moss for terrarium to hide it if that's during in time (Asian mangrove wood make me this often). Oh, and i don't know if that's me or not but the subtitle are not on for this video. Great results ! Hope the fishs are not going to hide to much.

So beautyfull. Interesting how you used the hydrocotyle leucocephale, one of my favorits. It will grow tall under water and make big beautyfull leaves in the surface, like a Lilly - but looking forward to se it like your way ☺️

Beautiful! I have a lot of patience with my tanks. I'm not into chemicals at all. I leave my wood in the bathtub of my spare bathroom for weeks. At times, I have had my tanks up and running without plants or fish for many days or weeks. It gives me a lot of chances to make changes without disturbing plants of animals. Then I plant and leave them for several weeks or more before adding fish. By then bacteria has grown and settled in.

I was talking to you about this tank on the last video. I said I preferred the last scape, But you have changed my mind my good sir.. I like it. 👍
@jackoghost2 жыл бұрын
since you have sand some corydoras would look nice, perhaps some Kuhli loaches (wiggly boys) even they are more nocturnal as for main fish would pick a stand out color like red (chili rasboras / ember tetras) or yellow (guppies / honey gourami) and ofc some shrimp / snails / clean up crew
@tomooms37362 жыл бұрын
its an absolutely beautifull piece of nature. I'm jealous too...looks like its a perfect habitat for dwarf cichlids. add in some corydoras and some glowfish like tetra's and its perfect. i would put the outflow of your filter a bit higher , so you get more of the shimmer effect, it would look even better.

@freeforme30662 жыл бұрын
I like the view from the side where you can see the gaps and spaces between the wood. It looks quite dense on video from the front view but need to see more. Some fish disappearing and then reappearing among the wood would look great and add to the sense of depth. I think something silvery or colorful would pop best - cardinals always look good and they do invade the flooded forest when the seasonal rains come so it would fit in with the theme. As for silver, golden tetras are small and would be easy to see darting around that darker, shadowy backdrop. Awesome content on your channel... I am a very passive KZbin viewer so it take a lot to get a comment out of me. Thanks and keep up the great vids.

Hey! I use the same sponge from dennerle that you do but I hate it. It releases all these small and shiny strings in the water from the abbrasive surface. How do you overcome that? Even after using it a million times, it still releases those. I ended up completely ripping that side off and it still got some of those in my tank. I am afraid fish might eat them because they look like a bunch of shiny worms.

Be careful Marc with the piece of wood that is on the back of the tank out laying down in the glass. I saw you cutted a bit because it was touching the wall before, but in that wood you have a dripping system and you may end to have a lot of water in the floor in short time. I damaged my floor and cabinet because of something similar.
