LOVE my Mars Hydro tent! I have the same one but run a different light in the tent. I also love the SF lights great choice! Are you going to put in a intake airfan for air exchange? I use my tent during the winter to extend my tropical grow season from 4 months to 9 months 🤣. Also I am stuck on the ‘They make such great Bonsai bonsais’ 🤣 my new saying ‘we could do natural bonsai or bonsai bonsai’ ❤️ LEVEL UP!

hi there! was wondering if this could grow outdoors. i live in Singapore and the rain can be pretty intense, and my balcony gets a couple of hours of morning sun a day with bright indirect for the rest of it. thoughts?
@grobonsai

These like dry and lots of sun, but they can do ok if you can keep some of the rain off. I think ficus, Chinese elm, carmona, Serissa might be better options.

I have a mame sized dwarf jade. I received it this size in a mame pot. After being confined for that long if I uppotted it, would it struggle to grow large? I'd like to let it get huge like yours but am wondering if being forced to stay small for so long, would it resist getting large. If so, I'd just rather keep it mame size.
@grobonsai
@grobonsai 2 жыл бұрын
It will take a little time to build up energy, then it will burst with growth. The trick is to resist the temptation to go from a tiny pot to a huge pot straight away. An extra inch around the sides and bottom of the rootball is about right, each uppot. Relatively heavy fertiliser regime get's them really pumped. Osmocote or similar slow release.

People do! I think you approach it with the mindset that one day it will die. I know people keep them alive long term, but in a bonsai setting biology will catch up at some point 😊
