Broadway stardom is the pinnacle of rewards deserved. You can't fake it. There is no lip synching or auto tuning. It's the difference between being an NFL star and playing the Madden NFL video game. If you can't cut it then you don't have a shot on Broadway. In an age where some people make millions without any recognizable talent whatsoever, Broadway reminds us of what used to be. When people who were "stars" had it and deserved being called that.

Abby was in Kinky Boots and now she's playing Carole on tour? Seriously what is it about these sisters and jukebox musicals? They're so freakishly talented. I just saw Abby play Carole on tour and I was like "HOLY CRAP WHY IS THERE SO MUCH TALENT IN ONE FAMILY LINE?!?!"

i was 14 years old when i purchased the piano vocal score of "it might as well rain until september". this allowed me to reproduce a passable facsimile of the number - which i could otherwise hear only in my head - after the song virtually disappeared from the radio and the record stores. nobody else seemed to even remember the song - which made it all the more special to me. i still get a thrill every time the song pops up on my ipod. not many songs do that to me any more. thanks Carole King.
