I-36's Incident Report: "On September 9, 2023, at approximately 4:17pm, I, Trooper Jonathan Arnold #356 of the Arkansas State Police, was observing traffic on State Highway 5 just south of the Purple Heart Bridge. I observed a white Dodge Ram pickup pass my location traveling northbound. The vehicle’s windshield was completely shattered in the driver’s view and that the driver’s side brake light was not working. I attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle just south of Misenheimer Road. The vehicle turned left onto Misenheimer Road traveling west refusing to stop. I activated my siren in an attempt to get the vehicle to stop, the suspect vehicle refused to stop and continued to actively flee west on Misenheimer Road. The vehicle turned left onto a logging road on private property and continued to actively flee south into the woods. The suspect vehicle struck a closed gate and continued to flee south into the woods. The suspect vehicle attempted to cross a dried creek, but his truck became stuck on the rocks with the front lodged into an embankment. I exited my vehicle and began giving verbal commands for the suspect to exit and to walk backwards toward me. The suspect seemed to have difficulty walking on the creek rocks, so I gave verbal commands for him to get on his knees with his hands behind his back. The suspect complied and was taken into custody without incident. At that time, I was able to identify the suspect as a Mr. Dominic nelson of Mountain View, Arkansas. I immediately could smell the odor of intoxicants coming from about his person. Mr. Nelson stated that he had been drinking. I placed Mr. Nelson into my patrol car and requested the next wrecker service. I conducted an inventory search of Mr. Nelson’s vehicle. I located in the cup holder an open can of Budweiser that was cool to the touch and half empty. Mr. Nelson was then transported to the Stone County Jail Facility where he was read the Arkansas Statement of Rights. Mr. Nelson initialed and signed that he understood those rights and provided a breath sample of .06 BAC at 6:06pm. Mr. Nelson was then turned over to the Stone County Detention Center and placed on a probable cause hold due to being charged with DWI #5 a felony. Mr. Nelson also had an active warrant out of the Mountain View Police Department for failure to appear on original charges of DWI X2, leaving the scene of an accident, fleeing, open container containing alcohol in a motor vehicle, and contempt of court. ❤❤❤ Governor Huckabee makes sure the ASP have the very finest and effective law enforcement equipment, protection and services available. As such, like the RCMP they always get their suspect, occasionally they get away but they're so arrogant and dangerous, they screw up very soon. There fortunate to have a high conviction rate too, besides loosing their freedom they pay high fines❤❤❤

I was pissed when that camera dislodged, because I thought the Trooper’s car flipped over. What a relief it was only his camera. Some of these people have absolutely no sense when it comes to life! Gee, we MUST do a better job of protecting our law enforcement officers by making sure they have the best vehicles (SVU in many cases)., the best cameras, radios, custom made bulletproof vest for each officer and anything else they may need. It is the least we can do for them.

Officer- No i was figuring you were gonna stop when i hit my lights.. Buddy they don't stop wherever they are. Doesn't matter if your in bfe with no service. Doesn't matter what the roads are like. They will catch you no matter what. All for a cracked windshield which led to multiple tickets and some. I'm from Montana and they drive SUVs and trucks that go deep into the mountains. This guy got the best birthday present ever though. Spending time in jail. Hopefully he thinks about what he did. Should've pulled over when he first hit his lights. That's what I do. I've actually pulled over before they hit there lights. I told them I new I was getting pulled over. Even without lights on. A person should know if they're gonna get pulled over especially when a cops been following them to closely. I've been pulled over because of a headlight out and I told the officer no my headlights not out just go ahead and bang on the headlight and so he did and sure enough my head light came back on and for the next five ten minutes we had like the most awesome conversation about how he had a truck like mine and he liked mine. Then he let me be on my way after everything was all clear. If you respect a officer they will respect you back.
