The famous, one and only rock-and-roll-bare-foot violist. I first saw Lucia in Chris Botti's concert ( DVD ), then Josh Groban's, again, DVD. It's very refreshing, and I am actually surprised that Sting hasn't called you yet ? I am so sorry to learn that you had a very nasty injury on your left hand, I know how devastating for a musician to have her/his "hands" injured. and I am very relived to learn that rehab went successfully enough to bring you back on top of your game. I don't know why it would "surprise" people when you sing. Almost all people study in classic music, can hold key well at the very least. The challenge is the breathing technique, and whether we like the "style" of songs. I think Lucia hit the soft jazz, ballad type of songs very well. She even has a "shower room" duet with Josh Groban on his channel.

Your Emmanuel with Chris Botti is one of my favorite. And I watch it from time to time for years now. As a guitarist of a rock band before, I admire your style particularly in your peformance of "Kashmir -Zeppelin song. In our band I used to mimic the violin in our cover of the Mahavishnu. A decent rendition. Song writer, George Alexander Ahbez lived a very interesting lifestyle that was influenced by the hippie movement. In my younger years I love to listen to Nat King Cole sing Nature Boy. Then, I heard James Brown sing it and it blew my mind. I love songs that tell a story, like Danny Boy that symbolize the Irish diaspora. I first heard it song so beautifully by Dennis Day on Jack Benny show. However, when Jackie Wilson sung the song I was floored. Being a lover of literature words are very significant in a poem or narrative, yet the presentation take a the meaning to a higher level.
