Oh my goodness! I feel the same way about the quick spring rush! I miss so much every year. 😢

Cute intro, but it's all true. Noticed very small clovis in my yard already. Did not know about bigleaf maple. My neighbor has a tree, so I have starts in the hedgerow. Thanks for the tip about new growth on poison oak. Recent years I've had a hard time with it. It's actually in my neighborhood.

I moved from WA to NJ and love foraging but have to learn the east coast. Might start a channel about it.

I very much appreciate the information, but when it cones to watching videos on foraging, I'm just looking to learn about the edible plants, how to identify, and use. Although this was informative and well done, I'm generally looking for detailed information without fluff. I'm certain there are many that will appreciate this format, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Thank you for educating us on foraging.

Verdict is it was very inspirational video thank you very much for your natural abilities to forage in your neck of the woods. I'm watching your video from Canada Nova Scotia. I was gathering stinging nettles last year and it's time to gather more for a nutritious drink. Boil the leaves and drain them. Any ideas are welcomed QQQ QUESTION would you know another plant leaves called white birch new tender leaves are good to use as a tea or eatable? 😮

Thank you 🙂 A great nettle idea I saw used it's juice to supplement the water in a bread recipe. The result is a green tinted nutritious bread. I don't have much experience with Birch but I know it's common for people to make syrup from its sap. It would be worth investigating if you have a few nearby.

Fireweed! Are you in Alaska? The poetry was kinda cool, but a bit distracting. Thank you for the info! :) Great video.

love the type of video but the words covering the screen (like while the plants were frying) are just kind of distracting. would be nice if the vids were a bit longer and more like a forage and cook in real time type thing like the one where you gathered stuff for a winter stew. would like to see more of the preparing/cooking/eating of the plants to get more of an idea of what it’s like. love the channel!

What kind of oil do you use in your frying pan over the fire?
@TheNorthwestForager Жыл бұрын
For high heat, coconut oil and I seasoned it with a steak salt rub. It was a very basic recipe but I wanted to taste the plants as much as possible 😋
