There was a video which was recorded in some England mountain and you could hear the sound life did that time including a group of Elks, was a bit scary though. I’m still trynna find it.

Fun Elk Fact: You Can Tell How Healthy A Bull Is By How Clear And High Pitched Their Bugle Is. The Bulls With Rougher, More Red Star Sounding Bugles Tend To Have Lesser Genetics Than Bulls With Much Clearer Calls.

It’s crazy how everyone’s always either “Wow! So beautiful!” or “Wow! So terrifying!” I think I’ve found a middle ground where I can appreciate the beautiful creature of nature making such an interesting sound, but I also can not deny that it sounds almost like a human scream, while it’s very clearly not a noise a human can make, which makes it deeply unsettling.

⁉⁉⁉I've been trying to figure out what makes this noise: (FYI, hubby is a lifelong Alaskan and this occurred in the Yukon.) He was woken at about 3am by a very loud series of noises he's never heard before. He described it as a loud, almost explosive inhale, repeated every 10 seconds or so about three times, followed by what sounded like very loud rapping (like a bat hitting a tree). He said both were quite loud (and from a large animal). This happened in mid-July. Thanks for any input!👍

Is this at Colorado??

I would bet my life savings they were mostly filmed in Pennsylvania near benezette. And I'm not a betting man. I just go up multiple times a year and recognized several bulls by the bugle and by their antlers.

Northern rockies of Colorado, near the rocky mountain national park have some beautiful elk. During the right season head up that way and you will hear this in the morning... that being said this doesn't appear to be colorado
