Encountering a mad lion is an incredibly dangerous situation.
Here's a crucial guide for what to do if you find yourself facing a riled-up lion:
Stay Calm:
Adrenaline might surge, but calmness is key. Avoid erratic movements that could be perceived as a threat.
Slow and Steady Back Away:
Gradually increase the distance between you and the lion without turning your back.
Project a United Front:
If you're with others, huddle together to appear bigger and more intimidating.
Resist the Urge to Run:
Running triggers a lion's chase instinct. Back away slowly and deliberately.
Fight Back if Attacked:
As a last resort, fight back with whatever you have available. Aim for the eyes or the nose to startle the lion.

​@@DoamBot these ones are used to safari vehicles. The tour guides tend to get too close and the animals understand that its a moving cage that roars as it moves. There's a leopard that got through a driver's window and mauled the guy, he was lucky there was a tour van close by and they called for help. There's a video of another lion opening a car door, and plenty of buffaloes ramming the tour vans. I'd never take an open safari tour unless its a very high truck.
