Congratulations to William, and his lovely Bride. Nothing more fun, and memorable than a Texas Home Wedding. My Bride and I had ours back in 1969. I also know the joy of getting new relatives, and looking over your property years and now decades later, and seeing the good impact you had on the land. Thanks for sharing your joy with us.

All my best wishes to William & his lovely bride! Your old property is indeed a great study in permaculture design and showcases what that can do. As I watched, I began thinking and imagining (and praying) that in a couple years mine will succeed, too. Still have much more to plant, but now I’m building some momentum. This video is also motivating me to keep growing, in the ground and in my head. Thank you for leading the way. Soon it will become easier as the results of all the hard work begins to come together.

As a northern fella who's fruit trees have done so well that the trees have LITERALLY fallen apart. The peach you showed looks like if it were burdened with fruit it would fold over into the ground. Have you thought of using the locust to seasonally support the fruit laden fruit trees ? They could be intertwined. My one (one peach!!) was a part time job just to keep it harvested!! My orchard has 25 trees.

This is so cool that you're doing a video on a permaculture food forest that is "self maintaining".... because after I watched your recent video on "Are Your Trees Lonely?", where you showed the variety of ways you plant around your fruit trees, and you mentioned the "7 layers of a forest", I looked that up, and several articles and videos of Geoff Lawton came up on the search results page. And I watched two videos on permaculture food forests he developed. One was in a desert area in Jordan, and the other was in Australia (or was it New Zealand?). And in the Australia video, he showed how after it was completed, a year or two later, the funding wasn't there.... but it maintained itself those couple of years, with no human intervention. Those videos were amazing. And now you're showing the same results of a permaculture food forest! Big Congratulations to the happy newly wedded couple! May God bless their marriage with ABUNDANCE in every way possible! 👼🙏❤️🐑👑🪔

Congratulations on your new daughter! I live in deep East Texas. I ordered 50 Comfrey root cuttings from you which arrived on April 2 this year. Wow! I struggled to find Bocking 4 that wasn’t totally obliterated by being cut into such small pieces and then sliced in half. I searched for a very, very, long time. I am very impressed by your integrity in both sending such quality, generously sized, roots cuttings and throwing in extra stock to boot! Thank you. I found your channel through my search for Bocking 4. I didn’t know what to expect when ordering but at the very least I knew the roots couldn’t be smaller than the ones I had seen posted for sell and I wanted to do business with a Christian homesteader. A month later they are growing beautifully! Thank you!

We use deep mulching as swales are impossible here with so much rock in the ground. Layers and layers of horse, cattle and chicken manure, old hay and wood chips. Our blueberries even survived through a 5 year drought. We watered with 1000l pod once a fortnight from our spring fed creek and everything did just fine but all the local orchard farms had huge losses.

I've planted permaculture design landscaping at two previous properties and recently drove past them, heartbroken to see that new owners cut and cleared most of what was established. They wanted open grass land 💔 There and just a couple select fruit trees left neglected and unprunned in the grassy yards. No windbreaker cedars,, no understory plants, and 80% of the fruit trees are gone. I can't explain the heart break. Those properties would have been better off left vacant, without ignorant intervention. The gardens, and even raspberries and asparagus etc.... All Gone!
