The Surprising Science Behind Why We Gain Weight and How We Can Prevent--and Reverse--It. The very system of our body which was meant to help us survive is killing us today. The problem with many explanations of why we gain weight is that they ignore the biological component of gaining weight and only focus on the bad habits of eating. The author of the book 'Nature Wants Us to Be Fat' through his extensive research on the science of weight gain, shares that through evolution, our bodies have developed a switch that controls fat storage in our bodies. This switch was initially developed in our ancestors to help them survive during the famine but now it does the opposite by leading us to obesity. This switch is activated by several foods but the most influential of all is fructose. Understanding this switch can help you learn how to control it and successfully lose weight. In this video, I have shared what is Fructose, how the switch works, and how can you turn it off.

@@BaqirBayani Sure. Actually other successful KZbin Podcasts have better voice quality ( cause they use a budgeted microphone ( so they sound loud and crisp. Only if you could afford cause your content is really good

Yeah, that is true. I am not using expensive mics as I can't afford them at the moment, but I plan to invest more on mic as soon as possible.

Wait, everything you said made sense except habit number 8! Have more Tea and Coffee? People are becoming Fat due to Tea and Coffee! Here in India people are addicted to Tea and Coffee. Can you elaborate on habit 8? Also No Dried fruits like Nuts? Almond has almost 0 zero carbs and very low Glycemic Index and highly recommended for weight loss but you are saying exactly opposite? Do Nuts cause fat gain or loss? Almond is not sweet hence not fructose but Dried Fig or Anjeer is sweet and may have fructose. Does all nuts are bad or some nuts? Please explain.

Thanks for watching and your questions! Regarding tea and coffee, the book suggests to drink tea and coffee that don't have any added sugar in them. Indian chai has sugar, in some cases quite a lot. The reason people are gaining more weight due to drinking tea and coffee in India, is probably not the tea and coffee itself but the milk, cream, and sugar added in them. To answer your questions related to dried fruit, the book doesn't say to avoid dried fruit or (glucose and fructose) completely, rather it suggests to intake less of them. It is also important to understand that if anything that we eat doesn't taste sweets doesn't mean it doesn't have sugar. For example, according to this website (bit.ly/3UIqO7y), 100 grams of peanuts have 4.72 g sugar, Almonds has 4.35 g sugar, Pistachios has 7.66 g sugar, Cashews has 5.91 g sugar, Walnuts has 2.61 g sugar, and Hazelnuts has 4.34 g sugar. I hope this clarifies some of your questions.
