There are 5 stages of grief.... Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance If Malia is not allowed to grieve properly, stage 2 could be explosive. Right now, she needs to be around people who truly love and care for her. They can help her go through this very difficult time. I was stuck in stage 2 for a VERY long time after I lost my sibling. I was forced into the "final stage" (acceptance) when I had to identify my sibling because I knew it would be too devastating for my mom. The funeral and burial helped with the acceptance as well. But, I lingered in stages 2 & 4 for years. But, thank God I had family and friends who helped me through this very difficult life-altering process. CN is the last place Malia needs to be because she doesn't have the proper support system. Walking on eggshells is the last thing she needs to be doing. I am extremely worried about her mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
