One of our beach revetments, adjacent to the river mouth is severely damaged. I think it might be due to climate disruption an increased number of days of stormy weather. There are groynes(and the pleasure beach) to the south so not sure if this approach would work as the groynes would inhibit sediment transfer.. They may just do nearshore nourishment in the short term but much further erosion would cut into a nature reserve on the river banks. Theyv'e laid massive rocks below the low tide to attenuate wave energy at the pleasure beach but it looks awful.
