Here is my review of the Naturehike VIK 1 tent. We're now kitted out with summer backpacking tents ready to go backpacking and wild camping in the UK. This Naturehike vik 1 person tent costs £94 and weighs approx 1.3kg. It's a single skin wild camping tent perfect for hot and dry weather.
A single wall one person tent is much nicer in summer as they allow more air to vent through the tent. They also have more mesh too meaning air travels freely through.
This particular version has the snow skirt meaning this naturehike tent can be used outside of summer too. The snow skirt stops chilly air coming entering the tent from the bottom.
You can make this an ultralight tent by leaving the ground sheet at home. To be honest, you can probably get away with doing this in summer if the forecast is good.
This is another tent from Camperlists who specialise is 3F UL Gear and Naturehike. Really cheap prices and they deliver in approx 7 days.

I did have a minor fault with the naturehike vik tent but it only took 5 minutes to fix.

Great review Andy, i actually had the privileage of trying this tent out and for a summer tent with a warm summers evening it was absolutely perfect. In terms of setting up, it literally couldn't be simpler. So fast and tbh i really like the external skeleton on this tent. I think it looks really cool. It also makes the whole tent seriously sturdy. Definately recommend the vents being open. I made a slight feuxpar and left them shut. on a warm summers night, condensation will most definately build up. Cheers

Nice review! I have one. I quite like it. I didn't like the included red pegs, I shattered the ends of about 3 banging them in my first time out. I will upgrade to some lighter ti ones. In the same way, I might look into swapping out the groundsheet for a polycro or tyvek one. I didn't like the door arrangement as I'm used to side opening tents you can easily open up the entire side. I do like the size and general build quality and ease of set up. It's very easy to manoeuvre into tight spaces and I think it looks kinda cool....🙂

I'm looking at this one, as a consolation prize if I run out of patience before I finish saving all the way up for my 1 true love, the Mongar (in goth-friendly purple). Thanks for the comprehensive video on it, much handy info here! I just so badly need something lighter than the 3.20kg tent I've got now, but not tiny + coffinlike as so many of my immediately price-accessible options are. I'm managing with it for now, but it's very much only tolerable so long as there's a light at the end. And Naturehike don't make the cheap _est_ tents, but they sure seem to make the _nicest_ cheap tents, so worth holding out for. And dat overhead clearance , tho.

Excellent video! Is the fact that there is only one wall a disadvantage for spending the night, i.e. does the cold or, in your case, heavy rain filter in more? Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico.

This tent is actually more of a 3-4 season imo If you have a good sleeping bag,a decent ground mat I use an R value of 3 and a -4 down bag in conjunction with a merino wool snood and a fleece hat you’ll be nice and toasty even in winter up a mountain

It all depends depends on weight and what you’re going to use it for. If you can take the weight and you want to use it most of the year the Cloud Peak 2 is the best!

Personally, I would avoid single skin tents. They are cold and they suffer from condensation. I would go for a Cloud Up 2. A smaller pack size and a bigger tent with a slight weight disadvantage. If weight really is an issue you could go Cloud Up 1. The Mongar 2 is a much nicer tent too but it will weight approx 750g more.
@MoosebearAdventures

Moisture does not pass through the mosquito net - cut the larger holes in the (roof) mosquito net and you will no longer have condensation 😉

The fly kept the bugs out. I think the white colour helps as bright green and yellow tents tend to attract flies more.
