The worst of those storms missed me to my south. I only got light rain with occasional thunder and lightning, and little to no wind. I have relatives in Philadelphia (40 miles south of where I live). They were hit very, very hard with 70+ mph wind gusts.

I had a severe thunderstorm hit Iowa It popped a tornado warning in Eldridge Iowa we got a warning with 70mph winds and half dollar sized hail

JeremyXOL just keep it off for severe thunderstorm, unless you know the weather is supposed to be bad for that night then I wouldn’t worry Personally I just go with flash floods, tornados, statements, blizzards and civil stuff

SuperMarioAwesome On an average year we tend to get a few bad storms but overall we average 20-25 days or so a year with thunderstorms. Usually get alerts every week but this year its been quiet. Drought in May and now we havent had a storm since July 15th and its August 14th. Dry/cool weather last several weeks.

No we don't, but if a tornado warning is issued the fire stations tend to sound them. It's a "play be ear" decision, sometimes they do sometimes they dont.
