👍 #26 Hi Brenda and Chris, what a great location and I'd be delighted to see the Eagle and I'm pleased for you that Chris got some great video of it, yay! I remember you asking me about the snow here and if we wore snow shoes, but cannot remember answering that, or where it is now, lol.... but the answer is that we hardly ever get snow that sticks any... maybe once every 3 or 4 years and then it's sloppy in a day or so. We occasionally get decent snow... maybe once every 7 or 8 years, although we are in the NW of the UK... they get far more in North Scotland. So, no need for snow shoes, hey-ho. Each season i hope for heavy snow, as I want to try for Deer in the woodlands and Red Squirrels where there is a small stronghold, less than 2 hours away. The Beaver dam is totally amazing and to be able to walk across it is surreal! The Pilated Woodpecker would have thousands of birders from all over the country trying to see it if it popped over to the UK. Brilliant footage of the Woody too... a marvellous video to watch my dear friends, well done. *Hugs* 👍◕‿◕

I love walking with you Dear Brenda, that pathway with crunchy snow is so welcoming at the start, and so are all the things that you spot and share I with us! These type of days are wonderful to go for a walk on, just dress accordingly and you will be comfortable 😉. Beautiful shots of the eagle, when you see one it’s a special feeling that envelopes you, being they are so rare. It’s been probably a year since I’ve last seen one, such a majestic apex predator. Pileated’s are one of my all time favorites, absolutely gorgeous avian, pretty sizable too. Have you ever seen one in flight? It’s pretty unique how they fly, it’s never a constant flapping, it’s kinda like quick bursts and glides, it’s very unique. Enjoyed the video Brenda!👍🏼😎🇺🇸💜

It's such a great feeling to see a Bald Eagle!! They really are majestic. I love the Pileated Woodpeckers too! We have only seen a couple of Eagles!! Sure made us happy!! Hi Brenda and Chris. Wow! Minus 5 … very cold but I bet it’s nice to walk in the snow. Very nice you seen the eagle, they are a beautiful bird. Look at the size😮 🦅 the beavers are very busy animals. Winter is definitely there .. that water is frozen solid. You got lovely light on the eagle, well done!!! The woodpecker is gorgeous.. I love to watch them. I bet that was exciting to see. The bright colors is a good idea any time u go out hiking, just in case u ever need to b spotted n a survival situation, orange is easiest to spot probably

oh yes is dangerous out there during hunting season!! Sunday is no hunt day so thats good!! Orange is my least favorite color for clothing!! But as you said they need to see us!!
