Nerve repair: Regeneration in spinal-cord injury

Spinal-cord injuries affect about half a million people each year and can leave patients completely paralysed below the site of injury. Currently, damage to this precious bundle of nerve fibres is irreversible. Researchers are working to understand why the nerves of the central nervous system fail to repair themselves, in the hope of finding ways to reboot the regeneration process.
This animation explores some of the cutting-edge techniques being deployed to boost the spinal cord’s capacity to heal.

Anybody suffering with spinal cord injuries might want to look into taking pure ashwagandha powder as it is the only thing out there known to grow new brain cells and I believe there's a possibility that over time it would heal all spinal cord injuries . It is to be taken with the healthy fat such as milk but they say always have some ghee with ashwagandha . It balances the hormones for men and women alike but regretfully you will see these guys on KZbin Pumping Iron with no shirt on saying " bro it increases the testosterone " but that is wrong information ... it balances the hormones and that's the best you can do for the hormones . I would hope anybody with neurological problems or spinal cord injuries would take this for several years before they would think about giving up on it

For that you want to look into taking all natural , pure ashwagandha powder ... it is the only thing out there known to grow new brain cells and I suspect that over time it would actually help repair the damage spinal cord . It's good for the whole neurology and you can find out more about it on the NOOTROPICS expert Channel . Another one that's good for the neurology is good quality BLACK SEED OIL and I like Ashwin Labs brand . Both of these have been used for thousands of years by the people in and around India and also the Middle East . Black seed oil helped me immensely with my myoclonus which is sort of like a mild cousin of epilepsy and I hardly ever get the twitching anymore but you can look them up on several channels another good one is the Superfood Evolution Channel as he does a lot of research and you will see that both of these are so good for the whole neurology but many other things .

Geoff ... people with these problems if they are able to do squats should look into doing what's called Super Brain yoga where you are doing squats of very specific way and it really can heal almost anything neurological . There is an older video excellent and it talks about all the things it helps with and it is about 4:18 minutes long I can't remember the name of the channel but it is a clip from a news broadcast and it works on everything from early Alzheimer's to ADHD to just basically all kinds of neurological problems and they say even dyslexia . It helped me a lot years ago when I had severe memory loss issues . The name of the game with this is to do sets of reps and so if you can do 10 in the morning try doing 10 in the afternoon . The only thing they left out and this is very important as I was told this by a yoga teacher from India is that when you're doing those squats you must have your tongue touching the roof of the mouth pointing towards the throat . If you know anybody with these problems or if they just wish to keep their brain young and healthy please pass it on

Also the ashwagandha is supposed to be taken with a healthy fat like milk but they say always make sure you add some ghee so I do a half a teaspoon or more of that after drinking it . You will see stupid misconceptions where guys are saying it increases the testosterone but that is not true as it actually balances the hormones for men and women alike

What I could never understand is why can't doctors cut out the damaged part of the spinal cord and stitch together the good part and let the cord grow back together? Just like how is someone cuts off a finger and the Dr just stitches it back on.

@Joao Rocha so when will the time come when we can take spinal cord injuries as well all other neurological injuries/diseases for granted? Not to mention the cure for all cancers, aids, diabetes, lupus, herpes, blindness, deafness, lost limbs, birth defects etc etc. If its not in the very near future, or within our lifetime, then there's nothing to be excited about because we won't get the pleasure of experiencing this privilege.
