Nautitech Open 46: Croatian Cruise 2017

Gary and Nancy, Wayne and Karen, Terence and Pam, Erik and Samantha along with skipper Stipe charter a Nautitech Open 46 catamaran for a week cruise along the coast of Croatia.

looks like a great time, thanks for the video.. curious how much a charter on this boat cost and for how long was it? also was the skipper Stipe part of the charter company or was he a personal friend you brought with you ? didn't realize croatia was so beautiful

Hi cynikalX, The charter was for 7 days. Our cost was 1/4 of the total and for the boat and skipper it was about $1200 for my wife and myself. So four couples split the total cost of roughly $4800 for the week. We were there the first week in May which was still the low season. After the middle of May we heard that the price nearly doubled. While Stipe was referred to us by the charter company, he did not work for them. I would highly recommend him if you needed a skipper for any Charter company. You are right about Croatia being beautiful and not yet spoiled.

How did you find the Nautitech Open 46 for charter? Good pro’s and con’s... looked like a very nice boat to charter. Was she nice to sail?

Hi David, my friend Gary did a whole video on the Nautitech at kzbin.info/door/-2W87Dfwx2cLyGTnrZObVw More info than you probably want to know. Right now there is a new cat under production called Ita that he is very interested in. From my perspective she was nice to sail, but not as fast as I thought she would be. A good charter boat and we chartered the week before peak season at literally half the price of a week or two later.
