All true Navajo people 😊 we have hundreds of different languages we should all be learning our own languages of our people

@@lexlixatkwa7nelson3 It wouldn't hurt white people to learn some of those languages, too. I'm white, and don't have unlimited resources, but I've tried to study the Mohawk language.

It is so good to see the native languages being preserved, as well as their cultures. All over the US, efforts are being made to preserve and revive what could have been lost forever. Navajo, Cherokee, Mohawk, and many more. I hope this continues and grows.

I love learning languages. I don't want any of these languages to disappear. I know many Native Americans feel robbed of their language/ culture/ history. Even though I don't belong to any of these groups, I feel robbed (a little) of learning about these things too.

I was having a conversation with some people the other day. Many white people think that when other groups, specifically African Americans, make things for there communities and culture, it’s “reverse racism.” They say this without realizing the need to connect regarding specific issues, cultures and communities etc

C W I was sort of thinking the same. I’ve noticed that America the beautiful and amazing grace were translated into the Cherokee language. Indeed it’s up to the tribe of course, yet I think it’s more authentic for the tribes to learn and maintain their traditional songs that have been in their culture for generations before “white” American Songs were written. Then again, we can always and must reconcile with the history of the tribes and it’s important to compare and contrast our respective cultures in the sense that respective native cultures let it be Navajo, Cherokee, or any other tribe see how their culture can express the same thing that America the beautiful had when it was written and how communitarian their cultures were while some European cultures and subsequently white American cultures were.

Give white people a break, please. I hate to communicate with racist language but if you want to talk color. If white people had black people sit at the back of the bus. Then we overcome that and we share the bus... This is why some people, some "white" people even are concerned about what you mention. Essentially it is black people demanding to have the back of the bus to themselves, or else we are racist. So maybe these white people you refer to are just looking ahead. When a new generation is born, and they want to share the entire bus. Who do you think will take the blame? the current generation of white people. That will go on and on repeating. Till people like you can learn to stop bringing up color of skin all the time. So please stop. Please, never, ever use colors to describe people, so as to put them in to groups. This is my challenge to you, that you stop yourself any time you find you are using colors of skin to define people. Its why we give each other names. You are C W and i am voidremoved. should we judge each other by the color of our font? Please dont, or we will all have to use rainbow font and remember how annoying that was back in the 90's? i am so glad you never see rainbow font anymore!!!

Okay, there may be a problem here, I mean, teaching them "America The Beautiful" in their own language, the song that glorifies the inhabitants that took their land away and caused thousands of innocent lives of men, women, and children - I don't know.

@@Blaze6432 Perhaps you should read that comment again; there is nothing in it about Native Americans not being able to own their own land - and if you are trying to dispute that their lands and innocent lives were lost, I suggest you do some actual research - Kit Carson was no hero btw.

@@foolsimage7872 America the Beautiful doesn't mentions white people. It has nothing to do with land conquest. It's literally about the physical beauty of the country and God protecting it. no lines about natives losing land and being murdered. It doesn't even mention white people, actually it only mentions natives in a positive view. in this century Native Americans are considered equals eith the rest of the US population and are able to set up programs like this and represent themselves in government. idk what your problem is.

@@foolsimage7872 Seems like these people are all Navajo deciding this. it's literally schools on a reservation structuring this curriculum. if you caste that much you can go down there and help reorganize it for them instead of sitting on a comment section complaining.
