i miss going to Navajo Nation Fair It's been 38 years. Last time I was there I was 23 years old on leave from the United States Army in 1986. To this day November 2023 I still have not gone home to Window Rock, AZ.

I lived on the navajo Nation for 3 years from 1977 through 1980. I was working for the highway department. We were doing an 8 mi stretch of new highway on 666. I used to live right across from the newcome trading Post which has since burned down. It was a great experience because I got to get away from all the noise of Albuquerque. I made some very good friends there. A man named Anson John was a good friend of mine
