I agree, that they have it though and deserve respect, but that ,s not what my comment is about?,I actually like the native Americans and I watch alot of chanel,s that teach us about their custome and history, and I learn Soo much from all those chanel, I'm just saying I wasn't happy about the way she fucked the dog away like it was a bag of trash?, I mean ?, That must have hurt the dog right?, Are these people suppose to have a spiritual connection with mother earth and animals?, If it was just a prop, then that is fine, I'm actually surprised that no one in the comments have said anything about this , EXCEPT me?, Am I MISSING SOMTHING HERE? just wondering?

Our elders mean the world to us on our rez! Elders come first. My mom is 90 yrs. She is one of the last elder to speak our language. Our language is dying & the youth don't want to speak it. They can sometimes understand it but ashamed to speak it. So sad!

I loved that this movie had no cussing or sex in it! It didn't need it! We traveled to South Dakota in 2019 from Texas for a destination wedding to Custer State Park.....we were at Crazy Horse for Indigenous People Day and it was an experience that will live on for quite a while! Native Americans are such a handsome people... There's a regality about them... "Dances with Wolves" really brought this out... Kevin Costner... I'll always remember as a young kid, reading about Custer's last stand... Actually being so pleased that the Indians had won that battle... Never liked what was done to such a dignified race of Indigeny... Cowboy films always portrayed them as savage and cruel... As was done to the Aboriginals of Australia, the Khoi San (Bushman) of the Kalahari in South Africa and others... Man's inhumanity to his fellow man and woman and child... Thanks for the sharing of such a lovely story... Magical

Is not seeking to “remove” the genetic line (killing all the wives and children even) of a tribe out of your land not genocide? Beautiful story and movie! I have Choctaw and Chickasha blood in my lineage but, my family from the early 1920s denied it and our ancestors were lost. I continue to research but, I havent been able to prove it with documentation. They were in Indian Nation pre-Dawes and were ashamed of their heritage.

@@HoltHamiltonFilms No . I like the trip to the Reservation , it's scenery , The Res. Rd. music , The verbal and non verbal interchanges with the hitch hiker , And the prelude building up to the trip . But no , "a favorite part" is like asking that about the movie "Tombstone"- How do you pick a "best" Doc Holliday part? Turquoise Rose was so well cast , musically backrounded , and plot/scenes there's really no "favorite" . So much was "spoken" without words , everything magically intertwined . Thank you! PS - Other than my obvious fascination with Tombstone , I otherwise never comment on movies .

What a beautifully done movie that I’ve seen ever. my Husband was 3/4 Cherokee (From N.C & East Tennessee-Appalachia Mountains in Roan Mountain, Tennessee) on both sides, his Mother’s side and his Father’s side. (His father’s mother was in Eastern Band of Cherokee Nation) my husbands father was Walsh and his Mother’s family was English/Irish) My husband’s 2nd cousin on his Dad’s side is Del McCoury who plays Bluegrass and his sons have their Band called “The Travelin McCoury’s” My husband was called home almost 2 years ago. I know he would have enjoyed this beautiful movie. We moved to Arizona in 1999 for my husband’s health.( He was an Vietnam era In AirForce) We have a Apache Arizona family tribe who have 10 children and many grandchildren too! They all brought love and happiness to my husband and myself. I’m blessed that there Tribal family always here to help if I need them. Thank you for making a very truthful movie. 🕊️🙏💜💘 🫶💖🙋🏻

My favorite part in the movie is when Turquoise became truly engaged in her relationship with her Grandma in a supportive role and realized that she was there in support of Her and what she had to offer in understanding the Native ways. Turquoise then fell in love with living on the Res. and being able to meet the people that lived there by learning the customs and the Spiritual ways of the Indian Nations.
