It’s just beautiful! I love Navajo spirituality and language. I’m so grateful for your sharing, it’s so important for the rest of humanity to know and understand this deep respect and connection to Mother Earth and all that is. It will help to heal our planet.

I learned from my grandparents that the middle 6 points are the 6 sacred mountains. And the 12 points are the 12 deities. The outer rim represents the people, plants, and animals.

I really appreciate this 🙏 My fraternal grandmother was indigenous, yet never spoke of her heritage. More the pity, carrying her stories close to her heart. Never sharing a past left unattended in hopes of our generation fertilizing emotional soil from unknown roots. Yet, here in my possession is this marriage basket. Ignorance dissipates. A mysterious token less obvious. Perhaps even to herself. 😙

What are the Navajos views on illusions. In India we called illusion maya.
@mycrazylifewfawnlisette35823 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by illusions? That's a word that has a couple different meanings.
@jicajacobsonkimbreaux3 жыл бұрын
The physical world and all things that are impermanent are considered illusory, or Maya. The individual self is also an illusion, because underneath the illusion of Maya (the created world and everything in it) we fundamentally share only one eternal consciousness, called Brahman, according to Advaita Vedanta.

@@jicajacobsonkimbreaux Thank You! Really like your description along with what you mentioned of Advaita Vedanta ethos, I am definitely going to look more into that.
