What an honor to read this!! I would believe what I share uplifts, opens the doors within the Navajo culture & traditions so you as the general public can walk in, sit down & truly hear the raw Dine' information from a real Navajo, Dine' woman, Grandma. It's vital to understand one another. Communication reality. Love & massive hugs for your respect. I so appreciate you. Hugs! Navajo Grandma

Hi dear grandma, sorry it took so long for me to reply. I often struggle with energetic sensitivity. I have searched many different practices but some work better than others. I am an energy worker. Or I'm learning how to carry and flow energy. I am reminded that I am only flowing out gods energy. Thank you also for th I s video. That's a great love and marriage st o ry. In a Jewish wedding, the brides face is c o vered also. I like the s o ng your mother sang. Thank you for sharing! Much love and peace! Ruth 💖

My dear Ruth you are multi-talented!! What else will you pull out of your hat?? I never heard this from you and that is what we are all made of "energy and what helps and blesses us or can ruin our health, mind and strength. I had a woman do Reki on me and she didn't even touch my back and she could knock me out. Not really but she could do things with energy that healed me so often. She moved away and I haven't found another who had such faith and energy to give. It is marvelous!! I love you Ruth!! So darn proud of you and how talented you are. Wow!! Hugs from Navajo Grandma

I am late in watching this video but this is a beautiful story! My parents have been married 46 years. They were college friends and classmates but NEVER dated during college. Once they graduated, they both had breakups with other people. My mom kept in touch with her classmates via letter writing about a year or two after college, and my dad was one of the friends she wrote. Although they lived in different states, Daddy made the effort to visit Mommy and he said when he saw her, he knew he wanted to be with her and marry her. The rest is history.

Wow you picked the characters with the spiritual strengths that were needed in this story. I love how you put your comment together. History and stories of our mother's love is always enchanting and lovely. It gives us hope to find love and happiness. Their examples were sobering especially my Medicine Man Maternal grandfather who expressed, "we didn't like each other for years, then one day she was gone, I worried, she wasn't returning soon enough, I thought to myself, hey I don't like this woman I was forced to marry. Then darkness came and his heart panicked. Later in the night she knocked on the door, he opened the door, he had tears in his eyes, he wept and grabbed her, held her and told her thru his tears he loved her and missed her plus he was horribly worried about her. He said he even thought she wasn't coming home. She was delighted and she said (my grandma) she was so moved that he loved her. Now how many men feel this way. Gpa did that one day. It was hard marrying him. He never showed his love to me. One day the same thing happened and he too did the same thing. I was shocked and now he calls and calls me if I am 30 minutes late. sometimes I tell him I have left and on a plane to Japan. LOL!! He always laughs and says come on home I miss you. I said one day what if I do get on a plane, he said, I don't think so. We are weird like siblings kind of, not lovers, we just are able to deal together with life and good things happen. Ok enough You are probably thinking goodness grandma, too much. LOL! Love and hugs to you from Navajo Grandma

junocomm yes my dad was a Code Talker. He did not want the pomp and circumstance thing and stayed away from the ones who gloated in what they did in WWII. My dad gave his gratitude to God for protecting him and saving his life countless times, he was a gunner who after he had his honorable discharge re-enlisted and went to protect the Code Talkers. He was the one who ended up with the flag they did not hoist up on the pole. He went back and all his code talker friends were so grateful as my dad was more than a sharp shooter. He was amazing. My Nali was also a sharp shooter. Amazing men. Wow I wonder if my dad knew your grandfather. I would not be surprised. What wonderful men and all that writing that my dad did in short hand was amazing in Navajo. He was so fast and perfect with his hand writing, he had amazing penmanship that many were amazed at. @@NavajoGrandma It is all of us that thank you for being our grandma. Seriously you remind me of my own grandma. Growing up we seen my grandparents twice a year at my great-grandfather's house which was 1/2 way between where we lived and she lived actually. I know how my parents met - mom had gunk on her face, hair up in the old cloth curlers when my dad showed up to visit my uncle. My parents talked for about an hour - then wrote back and forth for a year. My dad was stationed in Morocco at the time. He got leave and had a choice to make - marry the young lady his mom wanted him to marry or marry my mom on 3 day leave - he choose the later. His mom didn't want him to marry my mom because my mom was part native and she was well to put it nicely - wanting to keep the bloodline pure. So the 6 of us kids never really got along with that grandma - just my mom's mom.

@@barbg3798 Barb what a beautiful but a sad twist to it. It is quite a normal story too. Many women were not accepted. My ex mother in law did not like hispanic women being in East Los Angeles, California. So when my ex brother in laws brought their hispanic fiance's home, guess what she did, she literally threw them out of the house. She was Japanese. Luckily before I met her I had a dream seeing here standing by a fireplace in her house and how she welcomed me, hugged me, my father in law being at the doorway and how loving and kind he was. Soo that very day, there was only happiness in my heart cuz she could have believed I was hispanic. She knew I was Navajo Indian. She did as in my dream and we loved one another and I served her and wept when we moved, she was my heart and my joy. I still love her as my mother in the spirit world. An amazing woman. That is why my children are Japanese Hawaiian and Navajo Indian. Yes, there are things that happen in our lives and because of race our relationships are dirtied. But because this happened, you make sure you are welcoming and loving, kind and remember as you pray you always love others. It is up to us to change the past of our family members. WE make the improvements and allow back then how lives were lived, though not good sometimes, but we need to shed that and make great memories. Write your grandma no matter if she hates you, write to her and share your heart, your love and missed many years of relationships. How her grandchildren are progressing. Let her send them back or throw them in the trash can, it is your goodness that counts. What do they say, Pray for your enemies and do good to them that hate and despise you. This counsel comes from God. Then it is right. I don't expect you to drive and walk into her life, write to her and let it go. You are a good woman and a great mother I can tell. Don't let the past ruin your relationships and boy I know for myself, it is not easy. Pray for strength. Sending my prayers of strength and love. Great comment sweetheart. Navajo Grandma

@@NavajoGrandma I would have to do like the Chinese do in that matter. Write a letter and let the smoke carry it to them. All of my grandparents have passed, my mom's mom passed 1 month after I got back from overseas. I lived in Jakarta for about 7 years. My son has been introduced to family and unfortunately he suffered the same that I got from my dad's mom. Most of my siblings just ignore him because he is Chinese. My mom's side of the family accepted him with open arms. Even a great uncle would watch him after school until I got home from work. I have told him that it's the feeling in your heart that makes you family not blood. He has lots of adopted brothers and sisters now in Colorado where he lives. They see him for who he is - a funny introverted young man who loves the times they spend together doing things they all love to do (comic con). Couldn't be prouder of the young man he has become actually. He has 2 half siblings and they contact him from time to time. His own father hasn't spoke to him since he was 8 yrs old - so 25 yrs now. Thankfully, my late husband was his dad when he really needed one and never looked at him differently.

First, a belated Happy Mothers Day to you. So enjoyed your telling of your parents meeting and their wedding. A new fact I have learned through your sharing. Arranged marriages. My father’s family and ancestors did that as well. My fathers parents came from Italy to the US in 1907 for a fresh start. My father was the youngest of 6 children. All married the person chosen for them… except my father. That was the last of arranged marriages for any future generations. Best wishes to you and your family. ❤️🙏❤️

What a beautiful comment SHARON. I share, you shared too. What a wonderful way of learning from one another. Yes, arranged marriages seem daunting, yet every person I met say it is the greatest loving strong marriage they have had thanking their parents, grandparents and the matchmakers for more than encouraging some say forced, but in the end the true happiness and bounties of love and children brought greater joy had they found their own choices. Still glad we have choices. Can’t blame no one for mistakes. Thank you for watching and commenting. You bring me joy. Navajo Grandma

Adrienne, its good to hear from you. I am praying for you for healing sweetheart. Thank you for taking the time to watch this wonderful Navajo love story about my parents. I loved hearing about how they met and how my mother giggled and how dad loved that reaction from her. I sure miss them so. Thank you for wishing me a Happy Mother's Day and back at you, if you have a Motherhood as all women do, for siblings, neighbors, for strangers, and our own children and even some times a mother to our spouses. LOL! Sometimes I tell gpa, I am your mother not your wife. I am sure many wives have felt the same. LOL again. I hope your situation gets better whatever it maybe. I will have gpa give you a blessing and to pray you do heal and move forward in your life strong and healthy. Remain positive, pah pah pah, if you have seen that video on smudging. Roll that negative energy out of you. Scientifically it has been proven our bodies are made of energy and vibrations. Thus we give our body foods, water, etc that enforce that good vibration to help us heal and prayer being one on the highest list. The energy you can move from your torso to the crown of your head and out and we Dine' say pah pah pah. Its a releasing word that means get out and stay out. Ruffle that energy from your arms out and from your torso down thru your feet. That is what medicine men do. It is necessary and I pray you will heal from whatever besets you sweetheart. You are needed here and loved in our Navajo Grandma family, no matter if it is online. You are wonderful and loved. Remember this and hope that gives you hope to determine to heal. Pray always my dear Adrienne. Healing hugs. Navajo Grandma

Thank you and God Bless both you and Navajo Gpa! I am always asking God to lift this dark shadow of health from me. It seems like when one thing starts healing, another issue arises. I absolutely believe we all need positive vibes within us. We humans are constantly under attack, from both physical realms and supernatural realms. We also have a role in keeping ourselves as healthy as possible. As for the rest, I am giving it to the Holy Ones in prayer.

@@adriennesisco9651 Grandpa prayed fervently for you. As I always ask him to do this. It is a special prayer and I am praying for your health too. As I am feeling some issues like never before too, I keep my faith in God, I share my true thoughts about that and He is healing me and I do my part. I love my relationship with God and we talk a lot in prayer. Kneeling down is sometimes hard for some but when I kneel on my knees with deep respect, I swear He answers my prayers so immediately and so deeply and quickly. Its like this reverence is felt in Heaven and honored. Few get on their knees with respect. I love you and pray for you. Healing hugs. Navajo Grandma

Hello Grandma.. I had a dream last night. I was at a pow wow and a brave came up to me, very good looking man, and gave me the biggest and most beautiful fan. Made of the most beautiful white giant feathers and beads. I've never seen anything so beautiful. Then he just walked off. Another man cam up to me and says that if I wanted to keep it later I would have to dace later for it. I couldn't give it back to the brave until then, for he disappeared. As I'm carrying it around other women tell me how lucky I was to be gifted such a beautiful fan. I keep carrying it n it starts to fall apart. I take it to someone who could fix it and he tell me it is falling apart beautiful I was already married. I found the man who gave it to me and he told me the only way he'd take it back is if I dance for him privately. I dance what was in my heart. I ended up bonding the brave to me,but he never told me..... Then I wake up.
