dang I miss this system. it was so cool to watch all the squadrons on the map do their separate tasks(spectating them was fun too), and I loved how each country's carriers had their perks, the IJN having more squadrons and less lanes, and the US ones having the reverse of that. I never made it past Bogue, but I had an absolute blast with her.

Carriers used to be one of the most deadly class of warships. Release 0.8.0 with the "CV Rework" made them floating junk piles. Basically almost no help for the team. And we lost all odd tier Carriers as well. The dev team is of fools.

they should replace hakuryu with shinano because shinano was a yamato class battleship converted into aircraft carrier and was actually built.

+the fuhrer epicness I cant agree with that 100%. Shinano didn't carry many aircraft, 47 limit. If all of them were shot down, it has no offensive capability's and could only rely on its amour from Yamato. I can see where your going but as an tier X aircraft carrier, Shinano is not the best. Edit: Ok I might have said it wrong. The Shinano could carry around 167 aircraft but only 47 of them could be kept on the flight deck, the rest were in storage. Unlike other aircraft carriers who could launch more squadrons of planes of up to 80 or 90 aircraft.

Shinano would be horrible as a tier 10. it may have been based on a Yamato hull, but that meant that it had a tiny hanger capacity of 47 aircraft. I've researched the hanger capacity, and nothing I dug up said anything about a capacity of 167. It may have been a concept or something, but since there was only one hanger deck that could fit on the ship (due to the already completed battleship hull they had to work with, everything I've found firmly says 47 was the capacity. you look at the Midway at tier 10, it can hold 136 aircraft, and the Hakuryu has 100. If Shinano would be implemented in game, it'd have to be a premium. Going on capacity alone, the Shinano would only work as a tier 6 or 7, so if they want it to work at higher tiers, they'd have to go fantasy hanger on us.

TeK RaVeN Developers said in Q&A that there will not be submarines because they would be too overpowered. Think about somebody going underwater shooting torpedoes at everybody when cruisers and battleships cannot shoot it and it would be hard to spot one anyways for destroyer to kill.

Moon Gazer No way. The game is way too quick and fast paced for Subs. As I said, their speed means you would not contact the enemy until that battle was almost half over. And in reality, subs did not need to come up for air every few minutes but every few hours. Submarines are ok in battlestations midway because of a much more tactical and slow game. In WOWS, subs are neither fun for the user now the victim

if you were playing World or warplanes u would know high tier (late) japanese planes actually had their propellers on their back, pushing air and not going against air. anyways the problem with japanese aircraft is their fuel tanks. The US aircrafts had fuel tanks of rubber and as fuel was getting less the fuel tank was getting smaller, therefore harder to hit. But Japanese planes had fuel tanks made of metal, and as fuel was getting used , fuel vapor would appear and if the fuel tank got hit the whole plane just blew up.

Its a special warplane that their propellers on their back, many japanese planes are that designed.

Mancboy2000 I believe they are planning on adding another tech tree with carriers to each nation. For the Japanese this is where ships like the Akagi, Shinano and Chotise will be. Basicly all ships converted in to carriers. No idea about the Yorktown class. Enterprise might be a seperate premium version of the yorktown later. Though they have stated that they will add more nations first before they stat to add more line to the IJN and USN.

TTT135 You are very wrong. Yes, they were of similar design, but it is wrong to say they are of the same class. Saying they are Soryu or Hiryu class implies that there are few differences between the two. Soryu differed MASSIVELY from Hiryu. The best way to tell the two apart? Soryu's bridge island was on the starboard side, whilst Hiryu's was on the port side. The ship in game has the bridge on the port side, therefore it is Hiryu.

Well it is not the same carrier as CV-2 First off it was an Essex class very similar to the carrier near me in california called Hornet Second off it’s name came from CV-2s name after it was sunk like Hornet cv-8 when CV-12 was being built it would originally have been named keasarge but after Hornet was sunk it was named after the Hornet And last of all Lexington cv-2 was sunk in 1942 and a month before midway

Rees Mayhew That is because you don't have the "Animate small objects" option checked in the graphics menu. Check the box next to it and wala, you can now see your planes in all their glory :D

Gordon Wong U-571 going to be an excellent addition and remember some of these aircraft carriers are capable of using a twin engined propeller aircraft like the tier 6 heavy fighter DeHavilland hornet in the sea Hornet configuration which would make it much harder to shoot down than it's Japanese counterparts
