French submarine Foucauld At the outbreak of the First World War Foucault was part of the French Mediterranean Fleet, and sailed with that force to the Adriatic tasked with bringing the Austro-Hungarian Fleet to battle or blockading it in its home ports. On 15 September 1916, while on patrol off Cattaro under the command of Lt. L. Devin, Foucault was spotted under the surface by two Austro-Hungarian Lohner L seaplanes. These were L132, flown by Lts. Konjovics and Sewera, and L135 (Lts. Zelezny and Klimburg). The two planes bombed Foucault, scoring hits which forced her to surface. Unable to dive and without power, Devin ordered her to be abandoned and scuttled. All her crew escaped without casualties. The seaplanes landed and took the crew prisoner, holding them until the arrival of an Austrian torpedo boat. This incident was the first instance of a submarine at sea being sunk by air attack.[4][5]

Dear Wargaming, When talking about US equipment, please please please, use proper US measurements. We measure our bombs by lbs, not kg, and in the case of our armaments discussed in this video, our calibers are measured in decimal inches. For example, the Browning 12.7mm's you are talking about are in all actuality Browning .50 caliber machineguns.

When quoting the specifications, please use the country of origin's native unit of measure. For example for assets of the United Stated use feet and inches, weight in pounds and tons and so on. For countries using metric, quote metric. I ask you please to respect the country of origin. You produce some of the finest videos out there and I realize your videos are for the world. You could quote both English and metric for US assets. Please keep producing these videos. They are the best of their type.

Idea: Uss Hornet Description: Uss Hornet is an yorktown class ship, Her fighter and torpedo squadrons are something similar to Enterprise But the bombers at the B-25’s one hit can take almost 1/4 of an enemys health but heres the catch these bombers are at a high altitude And there will be circles to show where the bombs hit, note it takes 7 seconds for the bomb to drop so be careful These b-25’s would land at a airfield on every map you will have to be nearby to reload the bombers The price would be 12000 What makes it so much? Well even after your carrier sinks the landed b-25’s can still be used untill they are all shot down Please note that this is an idea made by me and my friend!

31:16 Do you remember the US carrier fleet at the Mariana Islands and Leyte Gulf? YES! 7 carriers for the Mariana Islands, and 8 for Leyte gulf. Which is a lot. Japan only built 4 fleet carriers during WW2, while the US built 24 of them. including escort carriers? The US built 122 Escort Carriers. Using them as consumable items. lol
@tpaktop2_1na4 жыл бұрын
I am not an anti-CV person, just annoyed over bad game mechanics. One of the items I was thinking of is taking aircraft damage and putting it on the CV too. The thought is as aircraft taking damage in not getting shot down, that damage is transferred over to the health pool of the CV. As a result the CV's health pool goes down. And when planes get shot down, the CV's health pool gets less and less for each aircraft. I look at this as a check and balance way of doing risk assessment for a CV air attack. It allows the CV player to have unlimited supply of aircraft, but they realize the main base for aircraft launch will have limits in surviving. I think this is good enough idea to discuss these points. What do you think?
@plaguedoctorelectro4 жыл бұрын
Bruh we cv players struggle enough u want more?
@drzoidberg14 жыл бұрын
It doesn't really make sense. The check and balance for aircraft are their recovery time after they are shot down. They are considered as ammunition like shells and torpedoes. Although they can be replaced within the time constraints of a game you only have so many planes, torpedoes and shells to use because they have to be regenerated and games are 20 minutes maximum. If you don't think it's good enough then you should advocate for longer recovery/replacement times.
@Doppelsodner4 жыл бұрын
I thought CVs were a bit OP until I got one and tried to attack with the planes... No more complains. CV captains have all my respect now. Is hard to fly the planes, is harder to survive the AA fire, specially when multiple ships are in the area and is a nightmare to aim with accuracy
