Dr Nash thank you so much. My husband only had one neurologist at the beginning stage. We had to move back home to get help from family. Dick was told he had dementia with only some paper tests and remembering words given. We have a Dr here now who is not a neurologist. He is taking one small blue pill. I have been reading and watching You tube videos to learn as much as I can. Because I am unable to walk (I am 84, Dick is 87) we sit and he watches tv but can’t fast forward so that’s what I do. I read and watch videos on dementia. Our daughter cooks our meals and anything that we are unable to do. It’s been at least 5years that he was diagnosed. I would say from his behavior he is in early 6th stage. I would love to know what he has. I think it’s Alzheimer’s. My sister died last year from it. I don’t want him to go through tests at this stage because he is in the late stage and I don’t want him to suffer anymore than he has to. Your story was awesome to listen to and I know you think it’s important to do these tests. Am I wrong? Thank you. So much for putting yourself out there.
