Both husband and wife must be on the same page to begin resolving even the smallest conflict. One spouse working alone to save the marriage will not have good long term results. Allah knows best

Parents don't always know what's good for their grown children! You're a young man and can make your own decisions with Allah's help! Next time, make dua to Allah to help you find a wife that pleases you and make you happy! Your mom will eventually get over it! Just don't disrespect her! Pray for her! ❣

This lecture sounded vague, yet is designed to alter men's behavior, as most, if not all, of YQ's examples, scenarios etc, are from the woman's perspective. Yes, we've been advised this for years, and we are treating Muslim women with love, care, and respect. Just wish Muslim women would get the same advice, to treat us like men, and show respect. They are meant to be our backbones, but instead are the disease that slowly emasculates us through this false female self-worship. Although I love and respect Omar Suleiman, MM, Yasir Qadhi, etc, I'm a bit over the 'men are simple oafs who must treat their wives like queens' pandering, and want to hear something realistic that holds Muslim women accountable. Let's be specific about roles, let's set examples. We want families, and righteous women who hold onto their Deen while upholding their responsibilities, as we are forced to do, happily. In my humble opinion, we could really benefit from some lectures that taught Muslim women what respect, patience, and consideration means.

Assalamu alaikum you sound like a brother scorned! All relationships and women are not like your situation! Everyone is different! Pray to Allah to help you out! HE hears everything! You sound really bitter! Beware of the whispers of Shaytan! He loves to turn families upside down! May Allah help us all! Ameen ❣

That's a very good perspective and you are right our sisters who are not doing so good need to be reminded respectfully so that the family unit is strong and our brothers know the reality and definitely they need always to step up and improve. Much blessings all, salaam

@@aisham1057 You epitomise the kind of women the brother was talking about. Why do women have such an incredibly difficult time taking responsibiity for their actions or even the slightest bit of criticism? There's always a deflection towards men whether it's "you must be a man scorned" or "you're just bitter". How about the fact that there are untold amounts of toxic women ruining relationships and the lives of good men who are solely responsible for turning families upside down with their satanic behaviour? Why is that so hard for you to accept?
@sharetruth9010

This is a very good observation. Unfortunately a lot of these imams are deathly afraid of being cancelled or abused by feminists who have created a toxic atmosphere wherein any criticism of women is seen as misogyny. This cancerous behaviour which has infantilised Muslim women and pushed them towards liberal feminism away from orthodox Islam is one that needs to be countered. I have no doubt this "marriage conference" YQ speaks about will be more of the same talking down to men while ignoring or even glorifying toxic femininity as they almost always do.

Although I disagree with some of your characterization of our sisters, I do have to agree that most celebrity Shuyookh approach this subject from a woman’s perspective. Look up any lecture on divorce, the examples given are also “if a man leaves…” while it’s a fact that vast majority of divorces are filed by women. Lectures are centered on equal give and take and equal everything. That hasn’t worked for the West, which is clear. Gender roles need to be more defined as highlighted by the Quran and the authority of the man needs to be reiterated and reaffirmed. Now the men also need to act like men. Stop playing video games. Be serious about your job and maximizing your wealth to help your family and the community primarily, not to buy the biggest houses and latest cars. I know this is hardly going to change anything because the imaams themselves don’t have their houses in order. I am not talking about YQ here but a bunch of Dallas imaams have serious family issues themselves, so why would they preach something to the contrary?
