Thanks so much for content creators like yourself for shedding light on these important topics & reminding us introverts, hsp's etc that we are not alone. I hope to read that "Highly Sensitive Person" book by Elaine Aron soon, as I already could relate so much to "Introvert Advantage," (by Marti Olsen Lane.) 😎

Thank you for sharing Gabby! May i ask what you did in your previous career? Also, give an OT a good go, and if it doesn’t work out at least you know why ☺️ Enjoy the ride while you can!

I'm a food engineering, i worked for a year in research and development, and got the chance to see the work environment of an enterprise and other jobs from my same carrer for my collegues point of view. But i did'nt felt motivated about the job, and felt very discourage, when i graduated from school, i did not knew what to study, i chosee that carrer because i liked the subjects, but i realized working it's not the same, the food industry it's very demanding. I choose OT because i like the idea of helping people, the only concern i have is if its going to be a physical demanding job, i suppose it depend on the area of work. But yeah i'm figuring out what i want to do with my carrer.

@@gaby6431ifythank you for sharing once again! I have a sister who did food tech too! It seems like you know what you like and don’t like, so now it’s more about exploring different options. TBH OT can be physically demanding but depending on the speciality. I worked primarily in paediatrics and youth mental health. Mental health isnt physically demanding but it is emotionally draining. I do think that everyone has their own preferences. Let me know if you have any questions i can help with! ☺️ good luck in finding the right career for you that are more aligned with your values!

Hi Cindy, I just came across your videos from doing my own research about switching careers. I’ve been watching your videos since your shift from OT to a digital marketing coordinator position and you’ve been so inspiring and courageous to watch. I hope you continue to make content like these because you make others, like myself feel less alone. And you make the thought of switching not as daunting or impossible as it may seem. Although we are in diff countries I feel like the experiences are relatable. For you, have you ever thought out making a “lateral shift” into a non-clinical role while still utilizing your degree or how did you realize you wanted to make a total career switch all together?

Hi Alyzah! Thank you so much for your sweet comment ☺️ I’m glad I can help in any way. It’s so motivating to know my videos can make an impact too. I did consider changing my career laterally (like e health)but appears like a lot of the roles requires a masters degree or they just don’t seem like a stable or promising career path. So I switched completely knowing that one day I can make an impact but it won’t be within the healthcare system but probably organizational or possibly even more broad than that. I find that digital marketing is a great start for me since I can learn the technical skills and also work with great brands and clients who make good impact. Lmk if you have any specific questions ☺️✨ Good luck!
